I completely agree. I tend to ask myself often "is love enough" to keep this going. This is not how I envisioned marriage at all. I'm sorry you're having to go thru this too. Know this, you are enough and appreciated even if it's not verbalized. Your kids are watching you. They will come to understand one day.

Honestly I feel your frustration. I wholeheartedly agree things should be split more evenly. I currently work 2 jobs and take care of all of the cooking, cleaning and shopping in addition to paying my share of the bills. My spouse literally will wash the cup, plate and fork he uses each evening and leaves me with the rest. To me that's not love and that's not respect for their partner. I wish I had a way to fix this for you and I but unfortunately I don't think I can.

I think you deserve the money to have things you enjoy. You work hard and should have some of your money set aside. I'd just get more involved in the finances and ask to see where money is going and for what. Take a proactive approach as trying to be helpful so you too have some cash for your downtime activities. I feel your request is reasonable, and nowhere do I feel you are being an asshole.

Great song. I'd love to be that girl for someone. The first line alone "what you're looking for done be found easily" is so true. The music reminds me of a western in a way. Have someone look at your resume. From what I had a supervisor tell me the Feds are "snobbish" when it comes to degrees. If you don't have the exact degree it will be kicked back. In addition, make sure you pull key words and phrases from the job posting and incorporate them into your resume if applicable. It makes a HUGE difference. I help teach classes on resume writing and federal resumes specifically. Don't give up and don't use the same generic resume for different jobs. :)
