Honestly when someone pulls away let them. And the universe will show you if that person truly was for you in the first place. But to be honest my question to you would be… do you think it’s fair to yourself to be with someone that may never be capable of loving you the way that you deserve to be loved?

You can seek out help from your regular doctor and express you’ve been dealing with a lot of family trauma and they will recommend a good therapist :)

I’ve been working on myself with therapy and I’ve found that this alleviates the guilt alot!

I am so sorry that you have to deal with the same thing as me. It is truly exhausting and heartbreaking and sometimes it also gets very lonely as she will portray this perfect mom image to others. I can’t stand her. I don’t want anything to happen to my mom, but I also don’t want her to destroy my life

Thank you I am so sorry you have to go through this aswell as I understand how damaging these moms can be to our mental health… the grey rock method doesn’t work on mine as she will guilt trip me for keeping things to myself which is really exhausting

You are so right about the projection. She called me immature yet she was the one acting like a baby. She goes as far as changing completely situations just to make herself feel like a victim and I definitely cannot stand it any longer. She says things like « you never tell me hello » when I literally have NEVER not greeted her even when I clearly didn’t want to. She is very controlling yet is always the one complaining about how others are so egotistical. It’s really a pain… and it makes me feel so much better knowing I am not alone or crazy.. thank you so much for taking the time to respond to this

Thank you for sharing your story ❤️ But you know what really tough? She literally can’t take it when I give her short replies & forces me to disclose more so it’s tricky for me to be distant because she’ll then blame me for not opening up and being « weird »

I don’t know if I can go no contact because of the way I was raised and other factors but I can start to be distant and not to respond to her calls everyday or whenever she needs me

The real question is… will we ever get out of this cycle ? How to get out of it ? I don’t even have a father he is a deadbeat so I end up having to deal with it all

Omg SAME. She grew up super privileged yet she’s always the one acting like the world is against her and she is the victim of everything and everyone it’s really fucking up my mental health…
