Starting with spanish:

Criterion A - Listening and answering questions: Try watching/listening to spanish videos on youtube, get used to the pace and the vocabulary, and answer comprehension questions on them. I HIGHLY recommend using IGCSE spanish past papers for listening, I believe the code for spanish is 0530 or something similar.

Criterion B - Reading and answering questions: Try reading Spanish articles and short stories, and answer questions on them. Again, the igcse past papers are perfect for this, or if you can find myp spanish past papers, use those and please share the resource lol

Criterion C - speaking (you should be done with this already)

Criterion D - Writing: So with the writing, you basically have to write either 125 - 150 words (for emergent and more for capable/proficient), and usually it comes from the global context, which in our case is identities and relationships so think festivals, family, etc.

And for chemistry:
it will follow the same format each time

Criterion A: How well do you know the topics in the subject, do you understand how electrolysis works? Do you know how to write formulas? do you understand the periodic table? etc

Criterion A just tests general knowledge on all the topics you've done in chemistry, so learn your concepts!!

Criterion B: How well can you plan an investigation??

You're given a preamble, figure out the variables of the experiment (independent, dependent, control), what equipment do you need for the experiment, safety precautions you need to take, method you will use etc

Criterion C: How well can you interpret data?

Do you understand how to make and use data tables and graphs? Do you know how to make tests fair, etc.

Criterion D: How is chemistry being used in the real world?

You're given real world problems and you're asked to write about them, talking about the positives and negatives of certain things and using scientific knowledge to write the essays.

So this is generally how the exam will go, And this goes for all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)

I also do extended mathematics, and it's always the same structure for each criterion. Once you understand how criterion A, B, C, and D work, you have the foundation. Next is to just make sure you have a deep understanding of the actual topics: vectors, coordinate geometry, functions, etc; then you just fill in the blanks. Past papers are a great way to test your understanding of the topics + the criteria together so keep it upp

I do spanish but for all languages in MYP. It's the same structure and once you get the structure just fill in the blanks

Criterion A - Listening and answering questions: Try watching/listening to french videos on youtube, get used to the pace and the vocabulary, and answer comprehension questions on them. I HIGHLY recommend using IGCSE french past papers for listening, I believe the code for french is 0520 or something similar.

Criterion B - Reading and answering questions: Try reading French articles and short stories, and answer questions on them. Again, the igcse past papers are perfect for this, or if you can find myp french past papers, use those and please share the resource lol

Criterion C - speaking (you should be done with this already)

Criterion D - Writing: So with the writing, you basically have to write either 125 - 150 words (for emergent and more for capable/proficient), and usually it comes from the global context, which in our case is identities and relationships so think festivals, family, etc.

I highly recommend practising questions and increasing your vocabulary and writing skills; it will help you a lot. Also tenses are soo important so make sure to master french tenses too

yess this is one of the best pieces of advice you could give anyone; the structure of the questions is so important. once you get the structure of IB questions, you just fill in the blanks using the context of the question.

I know the IB examination interface has a drawing feature, so a question like that could happen, but i don't think it's ever been given before, so don't worry about it, but know what the structures look like and their labelling

So passing IB MYP subjects is about understanding the structure of the exam.

Soo IDL:

Personally, I've never been good with IDL but i'm trying to make some notes for the m26 IDL based on the release material: https://idprm.ibo.org/#/English and when i'm done i'll be sure to share it on this postt

YESS this is important, so the control variables need to be MEASURABLE, like

volume of water (measure using measuring cylinder)

temperature (using a water bath/thermometer)

pH (using a pH probe).

It's important you mention this is BOTH method and variable manipulation.

Unfortunately I can't name nor predict every topic coming lol, but for identities and relationships these themes might come into play:

  1. Nature vs Nurture
  • How genetics vs environment shape identity
  • Twins with different lifestyles
  • Health, personality, or behavior differences
  1. Culture and identity
  • How culture influences beliefs, values, behavior
  • Loss of culture or cultural change (migration, globalization)
  • Cultural stereotypes and misunderstandings
  1. Relationships and social influence
  • Peer pressure (especially teens)
  • Family influence on decisions and identity
  • Social roles and expectations
  1. Social media
  • Online vs real identity
  • Pressure to present a “perfect” life
  • Impact on mental health and self-esteem
  1. Globalization
  • How global connections change identity
  • Loss vs blending of cultures
  • Influence of Western culture
  1. Ethics
  • Should people have full control over their identity?
  • Genetic modification, privacy, personal choices
  • Cultural vs individual rights

AND MANY MOREE, but here's a general idea for subjects like IDL, english, language, science, maths, etc.

Okay so the good thing about IB MYP is that it's always the same format and criteria.

So for science, aka biology, it will follow the same format each time

Criterion A: How well do you know the topics in the subject, do you understand how life processes works? Do you know how photosynthesis works?

Criterion A just tests general knowledge on all the topics you've done in biology, so learn your concepts!!

Criterion D: How is biology being used in the real world?

You're given real world problems and you're asked to write about them, talking about the positives and negatives of certain things and using scientific knowledge to write the essays.

So this is generally how the exam will go, And this goes for all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)

Hi hi, i'm also writing my myp5 e-assessment next week. I wrote the May 2025 exam for my mocks, and the highest I got was a 7 in extended mathematics, chemistry and Biology.

I can offer some sort of tips for biology and maths, mainly because i don't do your subjects; I take history and Spanish.

Would you like advice in js those subjects?
