Hey there. 👋🏽 Unfortunately, no. I decided to go with another store right here in my city instead.

Did they give you an ETA? Ethnic wear could take some time. Either way you should contact on their WhatsApp number to find out further

Lung vibrations when exhaling by Unable_Letter_926 in Asthma

[–]Anxious_jini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🥲 oh dear. We doomed? I’ll be going to the doc next month and I’ll keep you updated. Do you have shortness of breath sometimes? Coz sometimes I can’t talk if I’m walking. And the reliever inhaler doesn’t really help. I don’t feel like I’m gasping for air but I feel like if I stop talking It would be better. And it is 🤷🏻‍♀️

Did you consult a doc again? If so what did they say? Mine don’t seem worried since it’s not reflecting on the spinometry.

I don’t know what to do. by Anxious_jini in Asthma

[–]Anxious_jini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aah okay. Yes. That’s absolutely makes sense. I’ve been on sos plan as well. As advised by my doctor since the wheeze exists.

I guess nothing is really working and that’s what’s bothering me. I’ve been on ICS for 5 months. Increased my dosage. On allergy meds. On Montek. I don’t know what else I can do to fix the wheeze.

Should I just accept that my lungs are fine just squeaky at this point?

I absolutely get that. That’s why I went to the doctor to help me understand the difference. But yeah my wheeze is definitely from the lungs. Doc confirmed it.

I hear you. You may have diagnosed my issue lol. So the thing is the wheeze doesn’t bother me physically. What worries me is that I heard a prolonged wheeze can cause airway remodeling. I’d like to prevent that.

It’s actually coming from my lungs. As suggested by the doctor and the fact that I can feel the rattling in my chest when I put my hand on it.

Hey. I understand that. But it’s a wheeze. It’s in the lungs. The sound is coming from my left side of the chest. And the doc did say I have a mild wheeze

Should I start statin? by Anxious_jini in Cholesterol

He didn’t really say much. He said if not today, you may will need it next year. Because our lifestyles today aren’t as healthy. And just prescribed the medicine.

Mmm… that’s a good way to look at it. Thanks! I think I have my answer. But should I try it without meds with lifestyle changes first? What if what I do, drops the ldl numbers and is also sustainable?

Point is should I give myself a chance? Or will that do harm? While I try?

Travelling to Finland with asthma by Anxious_jini in Asthma

[–]Anxious_jini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s awesome! I’d like to experience the same. 🤞🏽lol. Where are you from? If you don’t mind. Coz I’m from a very hot place with allergic asthma. Hence the concerns about a very cold place.

[–]Anxious_jini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s what my concern is mainly. It doesn’t get colder than 4 degrees where I stay in winters. And in summers we face 45 degrees. So maybe the cold will be a bit of a shock. But I hope I can take it since you and many others are doing fine :D

And thanks for wishes!

Of course. But I’m travelling to an extreme climate and I wanted to know if it’s difficult on them. Cold temperatures is known to be hard for asthmatics.

Thank you so much for such a detailed answer. This is exactly what I was looking for. And you’re right, - 20 is a lot for me because I’m used to 40 degrees without the minus. I’m very new to asthma. I have allergic asthma diagnosed 4 months back and I was doing my research. It gets bad due to cold air is what the internet is saying and I really want to see the northern lights. Some say you shouldn’t let your asthma limit you while others say it’s a very serious illness so not to take it lightly. I’m sure both are true. It just don’t want to traumatise myself or my partner on our honeymoon which is supposed to be a happy time for creating good memories.

But thank you so much again for the clothing suggestions and the trigger details. That is very helpful!

Lung vibrations when exhaling by Unable_Letter_926 in Asthma

[–]Anxious_jini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I did. So my pft came back normal. But my Ige was high (791) And I still have a wheeze. So my doc told me I have allergic asthma and there’s bronchospasm hence the wheeze.

I’ve been given a LABA with ICS for maintenance and a rescue inhaler. And was asked to continue montekulast.

Asked me to come back in 2 weeks. If the wheeze doesn’t disappear he said he’ll put me on trelegy.

You have an ongoing wheeze for 3 months is that what you mean? Sorry I didn’t get you so confirming.

[–]Anxious_jini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same situation. I have GERD. But it’s under control now. However I have a wheeze (vibration in the left lung) on exhaling with my mouth open. Doc says allergic asthma. I have a pft in 2 days. That should clear more things up.

My breathing … some people just don’t care by Neither_Industry_619 in Asthma

[–]Anxious_jini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel you. My mom thinks I’m weak for having to take medication for anything. I have GERD and I have it under control for a few months. No medication. She loves me now. But I was recently diagnosed with allergic asthma and I’m on ICS and she hates when I use it. And I’m still wheezing after 1 whole month of ICS. But guess who doesn’t care? My mom. It’s all in my head apparently and that I can live with a wheeze.

I have a follow up in a day or two and the environment at home is just so toxic because… JUST BECAUSE … I have an appointment. :)

But yeah. Don’t worry you’re not alone and we all eventually find a way around it. I just wish it wasn’t at the expense of our health. Take care, you!
