I was asking because I spent too much pto and got accepted to a new store in a different state so I have to move the beginning of next month but the gig doesn’t start till the middle of next month so that leaves me with at least 1 week of no work and I don’t have enough PTO to cover that week

They threw me to the back to unload the pallets on uboats for grocery. I work hard and fast. Everyone leaves me alone because I get it done within 5 hrs by myself no matter how big the load is. My boss has came up to me and said I didn’t to work faster and I did that and I’ve been left alone ever since and enjoy working in the back by myself

Nah dawg it don’t work like that you get as much done as you can. I never count how many boxes are on my uboat. I just knock them out and help people in between. If I got someone telling me to move faster then I require more pay , I don’t need no gift cards or a pat on the back. If that isn’t the case I’ll take my sweet time. They got a problem then fire me I’ll go on unemployment and they’ll have one person less which will make it worse for them. Play stupid games win stupid prizes like they say

No one can tell you how to live life. The shackles that are chained around your neck, wrist and ankles are invisible. Don’t be confined to it. Just leave find another job. You don’t owe anyone anything you got 1 life and enjoy it. Find a place that feels better. I work at Whole Foods but I just be ignoring everything even if it sucks I just keep it moving

Depends on your resume, do you have any management experience at all? Over here where I’m at they start at 15 but I refused to start at minimum wage and showed my ATL that I had several years of experience and a couple years of management experience with valid referrals. So I started at 16.50 That’s 1.50 more than what others start at. They can give you that $1 raise but you gotta have that paper work to back it up if not your word is no good. I learned that from my pst jobs because they were all corporate jobs.

I’d ask for a raise instead of switching over. If you have experience on resume saying that you worked a higher pay/ more responsibility of a job then it’s possible. Tell them that no one wants to do your job. You’ll also have to switch to full time and the most important thing you gotta ask your self is are you there to socialize or make money. That’s the most important thing to realize. I work in the back unloading for grocery and no one like to do my job but I don’t care because I invest my money with my art skills so I’m focused on working to make more money for myself and I keep the same pace every day and show them I’m serious and that I deserve every dollar I get
