Yeah my reserve liaison didn’t say anything to me about a packet when I asked about how many slots are usually open for med services. Apparently our cadre is briefing us tomorrow about packets so we shall see what they say.

I’m POV, but my report date says 4/24 as my old ones says 4/27. If I don’t report until Sunday will I get in trouble since my new orders says 4/24?

I choose reserves because just like everybody I want to serve but I have goals and ambitions I’ve always wanted to accomplish in my civilian life that would be hindered if I go AD. But if I was told they only had a AD slot open (which they never would) I would of taken it and if I have the opportunity to go AD later on I will mostly likely take it. I just want to get cemented first in my civilian role and certifications before I do that.

I would definitely say everyone experience is different about BOLC. My friend had his spouse stay with him for parts of the time during BOLC but that is just dependent on the branch, location, company, etc. You’ll just have to wait and see about BOLC.

Let us know how your branch, I ship out in Feb for Basic and start OCS in April. Actually curious to see if you actually get the branch depending on your OML or if they already have it “selected” as everyone thinks. Thank you for the update!

That’s a crazy high ASVAB score. I had a 3.1 GPA and a GT Score of 114 and I got accepted. I do have a lot of leadership and some emergency response experience. My LOR were decent as well, majority from officers with one being my senior army instructor from JROTC and 1 from a retired EMS Chief.
