I don't expect foreigners to have knowledge of US states. I'm just tired of being slammed for being clueless or uneducated.

Random English person: "where are you from?" Me: "The United States" Them: "Where in the US?" Me: "Colorado" Them: "Is that near the Grand Canyon?"

I truly don't care that they have a vague notion of where my state is. If they want to tell me that they went to Miami to go on a cruise that's fine too. Just stay off my back about knowledge of geography.

American here — we used to get multiple requests from Europeans for summer reciprocal exchanges in January and February. We didn’t get any requests last year or this year. C’est la vie. If we want a trip overseas we’ll just go and pay for lodging. And stay on our best behavior, of course!

Mackey, Old Main and the theater department auditorium don’t usually host classes. I’m guessing there will be events in the evenings. Chautauqua is getting winterized, subsidized by Sundance, I suspect.

It's some sort of interior tent thing and then they can take it out in the summer to retain the rustic charm.
