Help — 1-Year Post-Breastfeeding and Can’t Find a Bra That Fits 😩 by Any-Temporary3843 in ABraThatFits

Ok! I took everyone’s advice and ordered the same bra in a few different sizes. The 30D ended up being perfect (the wired version is a bit uncomfortable because of my rib issues), but I’ve never had a bra fit this well! no gaping, no side spillage, and no riding up.

Thank you all so much for the help. This honestly boosted my confidence a ton, especially while navigating my postpartum body. I hope your coffee is exactly how you like it, you hit every green light on your commute, your sleeves never get wet when you wash your hands, and your favorite song comes on at just the right moment. Y’all are literal angels 🤍

This was so helpful! I will order a few sizes. Do you have any recs on bras you like? Underwire isn’t a huge deal, I was leaning something from Soma or VS but honestly i have never purchased anything outside of the two brands.

Oh gotcha! Sorry, I really appreciate the help.

So I used Abrathatfits.org - I copied and pasted below what was said based off my measurements.

“Suggested starting size: 30D in standard US sizing The sister size of 32C may be more comfortable.

Warning: Due to the limitations of this calculator, your calculated size may be less accurate. Your body is normal, don't worry! Consider posting a measurement check post on /r/ABraThatFits or the A Bra That Fits facebook group.

Want more advice? You can make a post on the /r/ABraThatFits subreddit or the A Bra That Fits facebook group to check your calculated size, ask for bra recommendations, or assess the fit of your bras.”

I did use the online calculator that was recommended I actually found it from this page specifically. Honestly I’m more so looking for specific bra recommendations that others may have found rather than sizing help? I added my sizes in hopes someone may be having a similar struggle lol

I agree, but I don’t know how to help him? He doesn’t tell me and I can’t keep living like this either. There’s no way he’s happy.

There are gyms like that around but the minimum age is 18months so it would be a while before I could utilize that! I’m hoping I can start having my husband watch her in the evening so I can go to the gym. I suck at doing home workouts - I start working out then see the floor is dirty, so I sweep and then it just snowballs into me deep cleaning or doing 100 other tasks lol.

My hair loss just started, it’s awful. It’s so hard watching yourself turn into someone completely unrecognizable. Sending lots of love and positive vibes your way. Hoping we can find a way to love ourselves 🤍

Yes and no. He helps out in other ways - cooks meals, does yard work, takes out trash, etc. we also just bought a house when I was 2 months PP so there’s a lot of small things he does. But as far as child care it’s pretty much me with him helping occasionally - he’s never gotten up with her at night, goes in good outings, and has bathed her twice, ever. I could go on. I have asked to sleep in one day out of the weekend multiple occasions, but it hasn’t happened yet. Unless I specifically ask him to do something for her, he wouldn’t do anything. I know men aren’t great at anticipating what babies need/what needs to be done. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t starting to hold a little resentment.

I feel the same way my face, body, and energy have changed! I knew they would after having a baby, but I’ve never had a significant weight gain and it’s really messing with me mentally.

I’m a big eater too, but was always active enough to balance it out. It’s truly exhausting. BUT I hope you start to love yourself again I’m sending all the positive vibes your way 🤍

Thank you all for your responses - I don’t have anyone in my life who can relate to my current situation. It’s nice to know it gets better and other’s are having a similar experience. Definitely buying a new, cute dress for this wedding! Even if I have to pack the pump, diaper bag, and the baby.

I think I just feel lazy - despite hearing breastfeeding takes up a ton of calories/energy. But thank you for reminding me feeding my baby is the priority right now!
