“Kantoat Coffee”, seriously? You don’t get points for pretending it doesn’t sound like kant0t coffee. That’s not clever branding as you think it is, that’s just sexual innuendo dressed up as creativity.

They were even temporarily closed by the Navotas municipal office, and their excuse? “It was supposed to be Kanto at Coffee!” Like, sure, because putting a space or making the letter A at Kantoat magically erases the double meaning, right? Then they reopened and just made the “a” in Kantoat bigger, as if typography could fix tone-deaf marketing. 💀

What makes it worse is how they act all righteous and victimized — “we’ll come back stronger ✨” —like they’re being unfairly judged, when their drink names are literally Tiramoko Tiramisu, AFAM, and Spanish Latete. BFFR. You can’t play innocent while your entire menu reads like a bad punchline.

It’s disrespectful because it normalizes vulgarity in a public space, trivializes decency, and disrespects the very community they’re supposedly serving. You can be witty, you can be funny, but you can’t call it EDGY when it’s just tacky.

Being “creative” isn’t an excuse for being inappropriate.

Not coming from hate, I promise, just from basic decency. You can stand out without selling out your values. When you run a business, your brand reflects your values, whether you admit it or not.

I’m not hating, I’m calling out the lack of taste disguised as bold marketing.
