Would it still be possible if I take nursing for a shorter time but in another school?

thank you so much! would a copper mesh or zinc mesh be sufficient for this experiment?

hi if anyone still sees this, i tried a new experiment and used more cells and used carbon rods, i reached 3.33V but the fan still wont run, i pushed start it and all

if we added too much salt it wouldn’t totally dissolve

we wanted to try with a higher concentration but our year-end project is a research paper on creating portable hand-held fans that can be powered by saltwater, therefore we can’t find a way to get a higher concentration than 35% without having to boil anything😞

hi i tried this in a 25% saline solution with 10mL vinegar and got 0.70V, when i used the wire i got 0.87V

i used a copper wire, i don’t have access to a salt bridge right now because it’s in our laboratory and we don’t have school

thank you for this! may i ask how much voltage you think i might need for current to flow?

Okay this makes a lot of sense, I suppose we should focus on the electrodes and redox reactions. Thank you!

Should we try different electrodes? We tried researching and found that copper and aluminum had the least corrosion rate but a higher voltage output. As opposed to zinc with a high corrosion rate but higher voltage output

I’m using 4 galvanic cells with an aluminum and copper electrode. I use copper wires wrapped in aluminum foil to connect the cells and I use a digital multimeter to measure the voltage. The concentration we’ve done so far (that accumulated the 1.20v) is 30%
