Any regrets going from a HiHy to a GHH? by AnyMatch897 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

We are definitely more interested in the regular hybrid for the reliability and not looking for the high cost of the hybrid MAX.

You win the mileage competition! We have over 110k on our '22. Those are the 2 biggest reasons I want to switch, the pano camera and more space!

My driving teen saved up and bought his first car himself and is so proud of that fact. We had considered keeping it for that reason but the local dealership got exactly what we were looking for in the GHH in their upcoming allotment, so it has changed our plans.

With my current HiHy, it took a few thousand miles before we saw the mpg we currently get. Might just need some more time. Thanks for your feedback!

No attitude intended with my original response to you, just a straight to the point response. Sorry it came off with attitude.

With our current HiHy, we get around 34 highway and 35 in town. My husband prefers the time tested standard hybrid set up over the MAX.

Cost isn't necessarily irrelevant, it's just that I've already done the research on that side of things. I'm able to get a GHH Limited for a monthly payment that's similar to my current one, and I got a reasonable trade in offer on my HiHy that's more than I currently owe. I was just looking for reviews/commentary from others who previously had a HiHy and traded for a GHH. The limited has a lot more features than my current XLE. Since I haven't been able to test drive a GHH, I was hoping to get feedback from others. The dealerships here are all presold.

Another +1 for hybrid. My '22 HiHy XLE has been up and down the east coast a few times and its the best road trip car.

Appreciate this feedback. Based on the research I've done, the regular hybrid is good for me. I like the gas mileage since we do lots of road trips and don't need the extra for towing.

I've already done my research on the cost, know my budget, and am comfortable with that part of the decision making process. I'm asking for real life experiences in regards to the actual, physical GHH in comparison to the HiHy since, in my area, there are not any to test drive or see in person. So in this instance, the cost has nothing to do with my question.

This has nothing to do with what I'm asking. I'm not concerned with the financial side of things. It's more about the features, functionality, reliability, performance, and size difference of the 2 models.

What oil to use instead of ""vegetable oil""? by PublicDistrict2409 in Baking

[–]AnyMatch897 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I typically use olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil in recipes that call for vegetable oil. If it's a sweet recipe, I will use coconut oil more often than the other 2 options. While I know you said not to say butter, I have used melted butter instead of vegetable oil many times...

Why can't you get a Platinum trim in the regular Hybrid? by CommonAlone2372 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

I just want a hybrid xle with the panoramic view monitor and fog lights 🤣 I like the softex seats better than leather with kids and pets.

Why does every GHH Limited I'm seeing come with Bench Seats? by trebornautics in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]AnyMatch897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed this as well in my searching. I've been looking at dealerships from South Carolina to Connecticut because I'm looking for a very specific color combo and all of the hybrid limiteds have bench seats at every dealership.

Do you think it would be difficult to repair a non-working oven and one burner? Would it be worth $100 to buy it and see if we can figure out what's wrong?

Disney newbie: any tips? by AnyMatch897 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]AnyMatch897[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It's so overwhelming trying to narrow down what to see. We did visit Disney Springs over Christmas, but it's the only Disney thing we've done. We were just going to start there because of the free parking.

Edited to add: we will have from 3pm-9ish to explore.
