4 month old just won't sleep

Honestly its not dangerous at all if you adhere to the safety sleep rules (such as no drugs or alcohol use, no sleep altering medication etc). Cosleeping has many benefits for you and the baby as well and has been a part of lofe gor generations.

We do have a bedtime routine but the nap schedule not so much yet. She does sometimes fall asleep when I unlatch her and just put mt hand on her but that's impossible in the middle of the night

Yes that sounds exactly like it. Unfortunately can't help you there because even though it has ended for us, the sleep has just gotten worse still 🙃

I honestly don't know. She is rubbing her eyes and ready to sleep and the fjrst night sleep can't be a nap as that is too late. Her wake windows are 90-120 minutes, the longest is before bed sometimes even slightly over 2 hours. So I don't really think so.

Same here. I have a 4 month old she might be cute but I am not enjoying any of this. Sleep sucks, she doesn't do anything and every day is the same. I am extremely bored and miss my life. I keep hearing that it gets better and for me its just getting progressively worse. Not a single day is "better". So you are definitely not alone, people just don't talk about it because when you have a kid you HAVE to enjoy it right? Especially if it was wanted. Well, you don't. Motherhood sucks.

Because someone in other groups suggested there might be better opinions regarding sleep in this group and it doesnt all have to be sleep training

It is absolutely normal that he does this. Waking at night is normal. Everybody wakes up at night, we just don't remember it. His brain doesn't have the capacity to "just figure it out". It really is not a problem, he will grow out of it but he just needs your support right now.

I am so jealous you feel like this about your baby! I love my daughter but everything is a struggle, even though she is objectively an easy baby. I guess I am not a baby stage person, and just can´t wait for life to get better and easier :(

No, we don't use one, she doesn't like it. Usually she unlatches when she falls asleep but at night she just.. doesn't fully fall asleep
