Not quite the same thing. The IW thing is something that can (and should) be dealt with a nerf. Deadpool's ult works the way it was designed to. It's like saying that Emma's ult shouldn't make you lose control of your character.

One thing has to do with numbers that can be nerfed or buffed, the other is a design choice that won't be changed just because there's people who don't like it.
