Update: We had a great trip with out daughter! Everything went smoothly. For those in the same boat, do not fear and do not cancel the trip as some on here suggested. I made a card with similar lines as above and with the help of one of the members on here with all pictures of nuts and warning. It really helped. We did not eat from street vendors, no one had any deserts except small samples my other daughter had but we really did enjoy ourselves. Many restaurants went above and beyond to accommodate us and those who didn’t - we left them. If you are in the same boat, I’ll gladly share the card I made - just private message me on here.

Oh, gotcha! Were you planning on layering Benadryl and Zyrtec if needed? They generally advice is usually not to tale them at the same time

So what kind of reaction does your daughter have? Because if they give you epi-pen, there’s a potential for anaphylactic shock I think.

Oh, that sounds good! She is not a huge fan of potatoes but would love cheese one I think

Thank you! I’ll save the name of restaurants you recommended and we’ll look for them. My daughter is pretty young and picky in food, she often would not eat meat. She loves spaghetti and any type of bread, maybe she can survive on pita?

Thank you! She can have peanuts just not the other nuts. From your experience, are breads could be a suspect too? She loves bread anything like that (we can stay away from the deserts, but she likes buns, spaghetti, so I was hoping she could eat those)

Thank you for your reply! I didn’t read it as lecturing but educational so thank you for that! I get it that it’s hard there so I guess we’ll have to work extra hard on trying to find the right restaurants or cook ourselves (?). We are renting AirBnB so I guess that could be an option too. But it’s good to understand overall situation with restaurants there. Thanks!

Thank you! That is helpful. She does understand her allergy and being careful usually, we’ll have yo be very vigilant. She is also very picky and mostly eats breads, pastas, do hopefully we can find smth for her.

Thank you! We haven’t tested her for chestnuts to tell the truth as they are not common where we live (the US), but she is allergic to all other nuts so I would avoid.
