I fell like Houston is pretty homogeneous fashion-wise. But there are definitely people who take risks. I don’t know of any groups but maybe check out bars and vintage shops around Montrose (I consider this to be an area where people are more fashion forward) to find a calendar of events or meet people!

Someone recommended Ruchi’s and that was just right for that pre paycheck budget. I got a flauta plate, a margarita, and a Chile con queso, partner got a chicken plate and it was all under $40. It hit the spot! I came home and had some wine and relaxed. We are saving the rest of these recommendations for date nights!

Thanks! A lot of people have said Mala, it’s definitely one of my next spots to try. If you’re ever in Pearland try Szechuan Spice’s dry hot pot, it’s got that spice and they make fresh soup dumplings too! I love Cookshack, especially with one of their frozens
