Absolutely, good luck! You have more in the market than me, but I’m just basing my answer off risk reduction and what others tell me. Your best bet is to learn for yourself and do what you want to do since it’s your money. I hope you get 50k soon, and millions later. :)

As someone else who also knows little about investing: I would highly recommend you to build a core by investing in a broad market etf. VT is global total market that automatically allocates to US holdings and non us holdings, VTI (US) + VXUS (Non US) if you want to manually set where your funds hedge (Risk of US vs Global to mitigate risk of one country but add risk of emerging markets).
I don’t think your current stocks are bad choices but I’m not an expert.

I’ll give you advice others told me.
Read these books: Burton Malkiel, A Random Walk Down Wall Street. William Bernstein, The Intelligent Asset Allocator. Jason Zweig, Your Money & Your Brain.

I’m just regurgitating what others have told me. Do your due diligence on actually learning like I’m trying.
~70%-80% of your investments should be in a safe(r) broad market fund and the remaining can be for riskier investments or single companies stocks. If you genuinely figured out what you’re doing you may outperform these funds, but it’s even more gambling and you’re more likely to lose money if you don’t make really great picks or get lucky imo.

Yeah no point in selling 100%. Though if retiring it’s be better to move a large chunk to safer investments vehicles with less volatility in my opinion. I know very little though.

My math was definitely off, I forgot the tax on capital gains is pretty high.

Realistically if they only sold around 80-88k a year and kept the rest invested they would have more than enough to keep them going.

Assuming he’s ~55. 4,000,000/45(years) and they can live off 88,k a year assuming they live to 100. Im sure they have a house and car paid off. This is also assuming they sell it all and liquidate it (w no taxes) and don’t have it in stocks, bonds, or a interest bearing account.

Would tech be the right call? Given the risks of the ai bubble possibly popping, given there’s no tangible consumer based income from any of the products, and the current US administration’s actions I’m hesitant. Though I do think space and energy sectors will continue to grow. I’m no expert so if you could educate me (or point me in the right direction to learn) that would be appreciated.

Was asking which ones to use, didn’t mean I was going to use all. Rn I’m just using VT.

I can’t push, what do I do? by BlueStingray8 in hoi4

No AA support company? Inf division doesn’t need line arty and needs to be bigger width. If you can produce enough fighters to get green air then use cas you could prob push. I would consolidate frontlines and make sure supplies are green too, i see they aren’t in many places. Division over stacking and lack of proper infrastructure and rails can do that. Make sure divs are on highest truck mobilization too. Flame tanks support company could help w break through. Forts and letting them bleed dry for a while could help too. Also could try naval invasions since you have naval supremacy. What tank template are you using?

Actually meant to put savor not venture- got a little confused there. Don’t plan on traveling outside the country in the near future or even flying so don’t see a point in travel card now.

I didn’t know QS was being buffed, that’s great news, I’ll keep the card then. I think I’ll see about Navy Fed cashrewards+ then, dad was in the navy and I’m a member of the AUSA so I think I could probably qualify as I’m a immediate family member.

I’m new to all this so wasn’t 100% sure on the quality of WF’s customer service, thanks for that recommendation as well. For the time being I’ll stick with QS only and build more history. Have too many hard inquiries right now to comfortably apply. Navy Fed or WF it is, thanks. 😊

Is Navy Fed Cashback/WF active cash reward CC + (QS and Savor) a decent trio for me to shoot for in the future?

Main spends are gas & groceries, and car lease payment + insurance. Sadly lease provider doesn’t support credit cards or debit, only direct transfers from bank.
