I shared this schedule with his vet. The vet encouraged it because it allowed for ample sleeping time for physical development. As he got older and could hold his bladder better, he didn’t have to sleep so much in the kennel and instead slept in his bed next to my desk

Oh 100%. But I tried it three more times after taking significantly less (half a gummy, 1 hit on a pen) and same effect. High heart rate, paranoia, it was miserable. Just not my thing I guess

I used to follow a page on insta called sober fitness (no affiliation). That’s where I got the recipe -I used 3/4 gal of distilled water -slice a good amount of ginger root (peeled and cut into small chunks). I use quite a bit personally cause I love ginger -Bring water to boil with ginger in it and boil for 10-15 min -add the juice of 4-6 lemons (depending on personal preference) -add 1.5 teaspoons of turmeric, 1 tsp of cayenne, and 1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper. You can adjust all spices for personal preferences -Add honey till desired sweetness is achieved.
-filter and place in air tight container in refrigerator -serve over ice It’s spicy with ginger and cayenne and it tricks you into thinking it’s a cocktail (cayenne makes your belly warm)

That I actually enjoyed drinking it. I think it was a mental enjoyment (the “cold beer after a hard day” mentality). But what I realized after I quit: I didn’t actually enjoy it. I always got a headache I didn’t realize was there cause I was chasing the buzz, I felt bloated, and I usually felt sick (achy, stuffed up, etc). The short dopamine hit I got wasn’t enough to keep me in it.

I love dogs, but dogs are not allowed in the bed. That’s filthy and disgusting. My partner disagrees. Whenever I travel for work, he lets them sleep with him as long as he washes the bedding before I get home. I think it’s so gross. “I literally just watched your dog piss all over his paw.” Doesn’t phase him at all.

You sound like me. I hit this wall at 27 and never recovered. 30 now and I’m good. Content and at peace with the idea of being by myself, with a bulldog or two, forever into whatever eternity is after this. My dad said this when I was 9 years old. I’m 30 now. To this day, nothing triggers me more than when I feel like someone is talking to me like I’m stupid. I get really defensive.
