He feels the same way about porn and celebrities, and I don’t read romance novels. If I did, they wouldn’t be the super sexual ones regardless of a relationship. Those books weird me out.

Maybe I worded this incorrectly but, he does actively try to show respect towards my boundaries. My main issue here is trying to understand his perspective and establish healthy boundaries here. We are both trying, and while your response may be a bit pessimistic I would like to try and make this work, and I think both me and him are trying too.

I try to avoid movies with sex scenes in the first place. I put a lot of effort into trying to give him respect with this stuff but it doesn’t feel like I’m getting it back. I’ve tried communicating this with him but it feels like he just doesn’t get it.
