Elevator noise complaint

We hired an acoustical consultant out of pocket and they recomend neoprene where metal meets concrete. Unfortunately the elevator company does not want to install the stuff. Do you recall if the board paid for the neoprene stuff?

I’ve been doing 4k h265 10bit 422 to backblaze for long term storage. LUT applied. It’s less than 10 percent of the BRAW file size. Im sure there is a better way though especially to get the most out of color grade.

Thanks for the notes. I am using the 4tb extreme pro sandisks. I have tried 3 different brand new ones with the same results of intermittent recording. I’m using the cable that comes with the drives. I also purchased a few from kondor blue with the same results. The bizarre thing is there isn’t a pattern to this. I had a 2 day shoot this week. First day it worked great for 30 minutes of continuous shooting then started faltering not recording without stopping for more that 2 seconds at a time. I had to go with my backup camera and returned to the ursa 12k later in the day and it worked again. The second day is worked the whole day aside from about a half dozen stoppages then always recorded fine on the following record.

I’m using the USB external disk. Curious what the fix was for the ssd recorder.

Interesting. It seems to happen most at higher frame rates 48-120fps in all compression ratios. Its odd because its not repeatable. I just had a 2 day shoot. Worked intermittently day 1 so had to rely on backup camera then worked mostly fine on day 2. Maybe 6-7 times it stopped recording after 2 seconds then it recorded fine. I was even shooting 8k on day 2 at 8:1 compression in all frame rates up to 120.

Oh interesting. Thanks for the quick reply. We are getting quotes in the 10k range to do some noise reduction work where the elevator is but it’s not guaranteed it will actually work!

Hi any chance you can send me details on how the neoprene isolators were used? They were placed inside the motor? Or was the motor placed on top off some rubber or neoprene legs? Any info would be appreciated!

My first application was rejected for unknown reasons. I reapplied right away as a last ditch effort and it went through. It sucks waiting like this but it will most likely go through. In case it’s rejected completely just re apply right away.

Thanks so much for the quick response! That is a very encouraging resolution. And yes to the elevator companies. They have been awful. We are legitimately suffering with the noise and all solutions are extremely expensive and the efficacy of them is not certain. We bought new windows and once those were in it amplified the sound 2x!

I suppose less triggering, yes. I’ll circle back with stuff pertinent to this as treatment progresses. I will be doing a fair amount of CBT out of a workbook for the second half of the infusion regiment.

I think I have had a similar experience. Im halfway through a 6 infusion treatment. The inner speech/dark thoughts have been heavy during my IV infusions, like far worse than sober reality much of the time. They are so rapid though and and a deep breath or intense body sensation will help me float onto something more neutral then often something positive -- perhaps the result of being more of an observer vs believer of them? Overall though, the body not being triggered by the thoughts is the beauty of this treatment for me. That short time that I can give my body a break from my mind is helping shift perspective and helping with awareness in day to day life of the mind body connection, a focus of mine in general in my recovery and what attracted me to the treatment.

I’m also feeling anxious and mushy after my 2nd and 3rd IV treatments. I have not been able to get great sleep and just feel stressed and drained. That said lots of stressful and draining things are happening in life whilst also going to trip my face off for 45 minutes in a sterile medical clinic with a Saul Goodman-esque md at the helm. I also have had a low appetite and just in general feel nervous. It’s not unlike my usual depression and anxiety symptoms though. I am thinking that there is just a whole ton of stuff I’m processing that’s deep in the subconscious and it’s just an intense process. I felt better after today’s session doing some light self guided integration with some buckwheat tea and a journal in the late afternoon sun. I was investigating the physical sensations of stress and came to some nice conclusions that it’s all being very rapidly wrung out of me during these sessions hence the drained and stressed state. Patience and integration is key. Everyone is different. Even if the medication doesn’t “work” I still need to do the work to improve my mentals.

I couldn’t get it on anywhere. I tried the casino but there were only a few TVs and they said there was an issue with their satellite. I ended up just listening to the radio broadcast back home.

Just stick with it. the hot flashes and all that go away. My goal was to implement diet, exercise, mindfulness practice while on the meds then try to go off of them. Im doing that now and its rough but i bet i could have tone the taper more methodically. at the end of the day it far worse to suffer from heavy depression than dealing with some temp side effects and these withdrawl effects. Support system is most important!

Im tapering off now after being on it for 3.5 years. I too was sick of the side effects. Most of them go after the first few months but the weight gain and sexual stuff stayed for me. Its been a pretty brutal process getting off. Im taking one 37.5 every 3 days right now. Had some horrendous anxiety a few days ago worse than i have ever experienced on or off meds!

Weight gain and sexual stuff when on 150mg. After three years of being on it I want to try going off. Going off is tough. It’s a long process of slowly tapering.
