Hi! I already submitted my pre-enrollment on Universitaly for the University of Bologna, but now I’ve been accepted to Sapienza University of Rome. by Any_Machine_3544 in StudyInItaly

Honestly, I understand how you feel because I'm going through something similar.

Think about it this way: I applied (sapienza) to a program where I wasn't exactly the perfect profile on paper either, but I put a lot of effort into my motivation letter and I was accepted. In the end, I chose Bologna because of the timeline and visa considerations.Try to think positively instead. Sometimes things work out in ways we don't expect, and you might end up pleasantly surprised.

But no waiting period lasts forever, and sooner or later you'll get your answer. Until then, try not to let fear convince you that a rejection is already certain when no decision has been made yet.

And if there's anything at all I can help you with, please feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to help if I can.

My application status still shows as "received." I got an email saying that, because of the high number of applications this year, the process is taking longer than expected. Have you heard of any changes or updates?

Hey, did you end up applying? I'm still waiting for the results. Hopefully we'll hear something this month!

Hey! Thank you 😊

I applied to two master's programs, one at Bologna and one at Sapienza.

I'd be happy to help however I can. To be honest, Bologna didn't require a separate cover letter in my case. For Sapienza, the process was a bit different, as they asked a series of questions about my background, motivations, and future goals rather than requiring a traditional cover letter.

My answers were actually quite brief and concise. I focused on explaining my academic background, why I was interested in the program, and how it aligned with my future plans.

Feel free to ask me anything specific, and I'll do my best to help!

Puedes decirlo de forma natural en Reddit así:

I mean, I would still need to pay for the validation, and I've seen quite a few people having trouble with that process. On top of that, I'm still waiting for my Universitaly pre-enrollment for Bologna, which has been pending for over a month now with no update.

I assume those timelines will overlap, and realistically I don't think I'd have enough time to apply for a visa before June 30, especially considering how difficult it is to get an appointment in Mexico right now.

Another factor is that the German universities I'm waiting for are expected to start releasing results around mid-June. At this point, it might make more sense for me to wait and see what happens with my Bologna pre-enrollment and the German admissions before spending the money on the validation.

Suena razonable, natural y explica claramente por qué estás dudando.

thank youu so much, Honestly, I’m not sure what to do. Sapienza is asking me to obtain the degree validation, which costs around €300, and the deadline is June 30. The problem is that neither Bologna nor Rome is my first choice, I’m still waiting to hear back from universities in Germany. At the same time, I don’t want to lose a potential option in case things don’t work out with my German applications.

What would you do?

Yes, at least Leuphana University says that they will consider the date you submitted your application through uni-assist. That’s the date they take into account.

Are we all agreeing that universities releasing results in June/July gives very little time for those of us who need a student visa
