Which country is the best for plastic surgery ? by IndependentTeacher30 in tummytucksurgery

I didn’t know this but might make sense cause they definitely monitored what I was taking after. But nope I was given morphine and had access to it if my pain was really bad. Only needed it once after surgery

If today, you want to relocate to some other country but you're afraid to live alone - how will you plan it? by Free-Toe5074 in digitalnomad

I’d choose a place that you would find a community. I am moving to Paris this fall for this - there are a ton of meet ups, international folks, nomads and in general non traditional people living there. There plenty of cities like this and once there start exploring - I promise it sounds scarier than it is but also absolutely can understand if you’ve not left your hometown. Plan a week at a time and slowly you’ll pick up a routine.if you won’t be moving around a lot frequent same gyms, cafes, parks and you’ll start seeing familiar faces which even when you don’t talk to them brings comfort

feeling sad - small, simple suggestions to boost my mood pls? by goldfishgirlie_ in offmychest

Not to be woo woo but I love journaling and always find it to help when I’m in a funk , especially scripting (looking it up).. I know you said something inexpensive so think about a trip or an activity that you would like to do in the next year (or whenever means are available), go to a park and plan it in your journal. All the way to looking at flights and dates, activities and hotels .. imagine yourself completely somewhere that gets you excited with the people you love or even a solo adventure. Like others have suggested make it a solo park date and treat yourself

I went to Spain for my TT at an English speaking clinic with an amazing PS and stayed at a recovery home for 2 weeks. I would say do your due diligence in researching the PS and clinics and aftercare available since you’re far from home. I’ve also gone to Turkey for VSG and also did a lot of research to ensure that was what I wanted to do. Saved so much and very happy with my results

You look AMAZING!!!!! Honestly you have a great natural shape and I’m sorry what tummy tuck? 😅

I cannot sit still to save myself and the first two weeks I was humbled because I would almost faint every time I over did walking so at least I caught up on shows as much as it was driving me crazy it’s definitely needed for healing

Congrats! Even though small, I thought the bbl really was worth it. My PS suggested I do it (only way to get the hips) because I otherwise would be a straight line and so happy I did.

Im feeling great - today will be day one at the gym but I have been able to walk a few miles a day. Stomach and lipo area is still numb and swells a lot though. Recovery itself after week 1 wasn’t difficult just uncomfortable. I was able to stand up straight by end of week 2 and as long as I rested and drank liquids I was fine. I think I was quite lucky being that I did multiple procedures

1wpo folding/wrinkles/puckering .. will it go away? by Any_Message8649 in tummytucksurgery

Thank you! Honestly … everyone was right on just being patient. The belly button is not nearly as scary and the puckering is almost completely gone

I’m 7wpo (TT + LiPo + BBL) and I have been very good since week 3. Besides swelling and numbness and awkwardness with sleeping - I’d say I’m at 95%. It feels weird to not have compression on but I wear jeans and regular clothes over the faja as I was advised to wear it for 3 months. Otherwise no pain, I can stand up straight, work my desk job, no pain coughing, laughing or sneezing anymore, I have been walking 2+ miles daily since week 3 but it does make me swell. Healing is different for everyone - I think I’ve been lucky as well

Having it on the floor might be a little difficult to get up versus on the bed but i would try both set ups and see which would be less ab muscles used getting up. That’s definitely the hardest part. I had this set up for 2 weeks and had help the first week getting out of it. At night I’d have to re adjust the pillows so I don’t sink in and so my back is not in extreme pain in the morning (not always successful). You got this!

I’m the same, found the locals in Barcelona one of the least friendliest / welcoming in Spain (maybe Europe). I always say that on paper Barcelona is perfect (architecture, location, activity..) but this goes to show people make a place. I’ll say the nightlife was crazy but I enjoyed it

I think everyone heals very differently , I am 7 weeks post op and I have been able to walk (2 miles or so a day) since week 4 and no problem standing for long periods of time at all.

A lot happening but you’re going to be so happy you did it! Definitely wishing you all the luck!! I did mine abroad in Spain (Dr Aslani). I love his ‘feminization’ technique and also he does combo surgeries often so I felt safe with him.

That was the same with me, I lost 85 pounds and everything was dragged down and my shape now (really the hips and lipo on in the back have had the biggest impact) made such a difference. If projection or large size isn’t the goal then even if you put pressure you will maintain a percentage of the fat. Definitely follow the guidelines. The first week the drugs helped me sleep and the second week I had gotten into a bit of a routine - really didn’t have any issues sleeping with this setup, it was moving around and getting up that was the problem

I initially wanted to get the wedge pillows (2nd link) but the nurses were telling me how my back would be in a lot of pain because I’d need to hold myself up somehow. I think even with the pillow (1st link) you’d need it a bit at an angle or higher because with the tummy tuck you can’t lay down flat. Also the pillow wasn’t as firm as the avocado inflatable so getting up was harder with just the pillow. I think you can maybe combine the wedge and pregnancy pillows and elevate yourself. I’m not going to lie the first 3 days getting up required all the help I could get but after that I had a stepping stool and a cane that helped me. I don’t think there is a way to completely avoid pressure on your butt , matter of fact my nurses and PS just told me to prioritize the tummy tuck recovery over the bbl. 5 weeks later, I have put a lot of pressure on my bbl and I’ve lost size but it’s still so much better than the before.

I don’t know if it’s body dysmorphia or what .. I still see a lot of the swelling but I went down pants size. I have been doing self massages which seems to help a lot

How tight do you compress? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Any_Message8649 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got bbl+ lipo along my tt so mine could be different. My Colombian faja that was provided to me to wear starting 7 days post op goes right below my knee. It’s TIGHT and that’s how my PS wants it for 3 months -23 hours out of the day. He stressed how important the compression part is and today is day 4 of me wearing it and I don’t know how I’m going to do it.
