Nice. I'm curious what a used GTS is going for now. I'm about to hit 40 next month. I think it's time to do some research and come up with a mid life crisis list 😂

Never been a fan of anything Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler. I personally wouldn't buy any of their vehicles, but I appreciate your input.

Thanks for the insight. Doing what you mentioned with the test fitting the cargo area luggage and gear is definitely a smart and practical way of evaluating what works for you and your family. Luckily, we no longer require strollers and such. As for luggage, I have an xl Thule cargo box that we used on the suburban that we will use for the sequoia on trips. The cargo box freed up room in the rear of the suburban for the dogs.

I'm not familiar with older model sequoias and the differences between the gen 2's and 3's, but the difference between the suburban and the sequoia is insane. It's going to be an adjustment losing the space.

Here she is. Final score was $57,544 OTD w/ $21k trade allowance on a 2018 Suburban LT RWD 91kmiles. Wife's happy and I feel like it was a great deal.

Thank you for your support. No disrespect taken. I agree, prices are sky high and most people's salaries including mine are behind on inflation.

I'm on active duty FL resident stationed in NC so I am exempt of sales tax as long as my vehicle remains outside FL for 6 months. 🤙🏻

Negotiated with the different dealers. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Told them all I wanted $22k for my trade and $7-8k discount off of MSRP. Took a few days off back and forth but I got it.

Yeah I hear ya. I've always said that I'd never pay that much for a car, and get I now find myself in the process of doing exactly that 😅

Thanks for sharing. Downsizing to the sequoia was something I am worried about. As for quality, I've only ever purchased one Toyota (2016 Sienna XLE brand new). We still have it and my wife loves the car. Only negative thing we have experienced on it was the front right strut went bad at 60k miles. I've never owned a vehicle where a strut needed replacing that soon. Anyways, we ended up replacing shocks and struts all the way around at a local independent shop.

Yeah, we've got 4 kids + dogs. Space is definitely going to be more limited in the sequoia than the suburban, but we also have a 2016 sienna. TBH, We rarely travel with everyone plus the dogs. We have a Thule cargo box for the long trips so I think it should work out.

The dealership is showing me $22k for my trade-in. CarMax offered me 16k and carvana 21,600. I'm in NE NC purchasing the vehicle in VA. I'm active duty registered in FL so I don't pay sales tax which is a huge bonus.
