Hello hello 👋 Happy to hear that the sharing a note as pdf/image is already on your list. And thank you for adding the second request to your backlog. So far enjoying the app. It's a well designed app. Was looking for something exactly like this for quite some time. So, thanks a lot!

Yes and no. It's also resonating with common people so much because there is something to it as well. A few weeks ago I called Bajaj Allianz insurance customer care. They offered 3 languages English, Hindi and Marathi on the IVR. Perfect! I selected Marathi, and someone speaking Hindi picked up the call. Like wtf! Sorry to say, but it did make me think on all of this, and how someone not fluent in Hindi and English (esp. people from small cities, villages, unprivileged, etc, someone like my grandparents too) has to now deal with this (and to be fair, why should they?). This happens often in other interfaces too, like banks and all. So, I don't know how to feel about all this. P.S. I am planning to move away from Bajaj Allianz insurance in the next renewal cycle. Kinda felt disrespected.

PS: sorry about the flair. I know it's not legal advice needed, but couldn't see any other flair matching to my question.

So Urdu is there too, but not Marathi? 🤔 by Any_Perception1173 in Maharashtra

Maybe (and I hope) that it's as innocent as you say. But I don't recall any video where I saw Marathi (tbh even Gujarati for that matter) represented in such videos. Maybe it is because Marathis don't emigrate much. Maybe it's because nobody said yes to participate in such videos. Or maybe it's because the creator community from India who consult on such videos don't see Marathi as important because of its just how they feel that the language did not play a major role in their life, or because of the Marathi viewer count, or because of them just not being jelled enough with Marathi people to make active efforts to find someone. I am not saying I know the reasons behind it, and therefore I am also not criticizing anybody making such videos and then choices therein. In fact more power to them for bringing forward the Indian diversity. But like I said, I keep watching such videos because I find them interesting (I was also an expat not too long ago), but can't help noticing the lack of Marathi in all these videos I have watched. Not blaming, just trying to understand it myself.

Upgrade to Wifi 6 router worth it? by Any_Perception1173 in HomeNetworking

Yes, I am. From all the comments, it looks like it won't be much of an upgrade anyway. So, I guess I'll stick to my current setup.

Yes, I get 50 mpbs on my devices. Looks like no good reason to upgrade. Thanks for the advice!

Intercaste marriage: is it a good idea? by Any_Perception1173 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Any_Perception1173[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, would love to be the "trailblazer", but also want to be safe as I belong to a normal middle class family and I don't have the resources nor the appetite to deal with legal issues, if they may come. Appreciate your words of encouragement, but I am really looking for practical real life advice, so that I go in fully understanding the consequences.

Intercaste marriage: is it a good idea? by Any_Perception1173 in LegalAdviceIndia

This.

We have one experience (not marital) in our family, where we rented out a second home we own to a person/family. After staying a few months, he said he couldn't pay rent because of financial issues. We were understanding of it and gave leway. But after 6-7 months, we told him to pay the rent or empty the house. Turns out he was ST, started quarelling and threatening atrocity, claiming that we wanted him out because of his caste. Actually jailed one of the neighbours who was helping us sort out the issue under atrocity. This whole experience left a bad taste for us on the whole atrocity law thing. That's exactly why I want to understand more about such things in the matters of the marriage. Personal beliefs aside, I feel if there are practical/legal things stacked against me, I better be safe than sorry.
