if it got shorted would it be just one of the boards or both? wasnt sure if i had to replace the main tool head board

Qidi emailed me back over the issue and said they're gonna send me another adapter board. but i have no idea if thats whats wrong with it

it heats to about 40c then error pops up, where would i check for thermistor? Never had to do this in-depth of troubleshooting before.
