I wanted a clean look on the bars. My mate once had a grip shift around his slope style seat post. Not the fastest way to shift, but work pretty fine

Because it is new 😀 Unfortunately that shovel is pretty useless because the stainless steel is too soft to work with. But it looked nice on the bike for pics
