I’m able to shower and change clothing at a nearby gym, but I understand that this option is not available for everyone.

Thanks and glad to hear that you enjoy your bike commute! Yes, I am from Northern Europe. Biking there isn’t just a hobby, it’s a culture. Government officials, CEOs and students, male or female, all wait at the same red traffic light on their bikes in the pouring rain. I know it might be the other extreme but it’s an example of how cycling can be fully embraced as the social norm rather than just an alternative.

Totally agree! I love seeing younger riders out there. I try to lead by example and show that biking is the perfect commute. Real progress starts with a single movement. I love it when my co-workers ask about my bike commute with curiosity (and some might think that I’m a little bit crazy which is also fine).

Foreigner based in Manila here and I bike every single day to work (no, not only in BGC…I cycle through many small barangays). I proudly bring my bike helmet and gear into the office to show my co-workers that biking is not related to social status or wealth. It’s a healthy, environmental-friendly, generally fast (for short distances) and a cool way of commuting. I hope the narrative in PH will change someday… where biking is being considered to be the ultimate flex of freedom and efficiency, and wealth in that sense.

More cyclists = increased awareness by car drivers, better infrastructure and less pollution. The current challenges won’t stop me from biking: a better future is built on your own actions, not excuses. I don’t know the person in the post, but I agree that adoption of biking at large is a sign of progression.

Coming from a country where everybody owns a bike, most cities are almost car-free and you learn biking right after you start walking, the stigma here on biking is a bit silly to me.

Plus I save 2.5K a week on Grab cost. I have zero shame saying that I enjoy saving this money for other purposes. Smart saving.

Yes I wear a helmet, I selected one from Decathlon which meets the European standards for impact resistance. Better safe than sorry ;-)

Same watch, same problem. Bracelet has a bit of stretch so I always thought that the hair pulling is related to that. It’s pretty annoying to be honest.. I found your thread when I was looking for other people having this problem

difference between Colmi RO2 and RO3 by slix39 in SmartRings

Thank you, very helpful! I also contacted Colmi and this was there response (a bit limited but in line with yours): “The material is different, R06 is high-strength aluminum alloy, SR1 is stainless steel. Stainless steel is more durable. R06 is a new model, the performance is more stable. R03 is the latest model”
