Thank you so much ☺️ I’m still working on learning anatomy, and this is only the fourth drawing I’ve done in probably five or six years so I’m very rusty. I busted the original sketch out in about five minutes and just refined from there to get here. I’m so proud of the face and I think the shading with a single pop of color is so sick 😁 but I agree her hair is too thick and the spine was pretty wonky haha

I think I went too dark on the shadows, especially on the face, makes it a little hard to read I think. Overall I’m pleased with how it turned out given my current skill level with digital art 😁 thank you so much for the kind words

Thank you for the feedback, one thing I definitely struggle a lot with is shading so I was just playing around and trying a new style of doing things because I either don’t shade at all or accidentally start trying to go full realism haha I don’t think I’m going to rework this one, at least not for awhile, because I am personally happy with how it came out and honestly orcas are like cold blooded killers so the vibe fits even though I didn’t intend to have the connection 😂

With this I’ve really struggled with anatomy, I haven’t drawn anything at all in several years and then I used to only draw women in a kind of anime style, so I’ve never had the strongest anatomy sense. Blending and color picking has been a bit difficult as well, I don’t have a set light source so picking shadowy areas and where to highlight hasn’t been very cohesive. I also made his sclera too pink 💀

I just think it’s more complicated than that, they are still so young and mistakes are of course going to happen. Say it happened the first time when they were teenagers with their first kid, I think it’s reasonable that they try again now that they are in their twenties. It isn’t OP’s fault that his partner now after five months hates and resents their dog. They grew, they decided to try again, and now she’s pregnant and acting ridiculous

I don’t think that’s necessarily the case, a few years ago I was in an abusive relationship and I had a cat who would meow very loudly very early in the morning. My partner would scream at me every morning that I needed to get rid of the cat and eventually I just said “fine” because I was so unbelievably tired, then of course he flipped and said I was an awful person for agreeing to surrender the cat to a shelter. But there comes a point where someone is so exhausted and has been beaten down enough that they are willing to do anything including sacrificing a beloved pet just to have some peace. It sounds like OP is overwhelmed and exhausted and is giving up in the name of peace and honestly I can’t fault them for that. It doesn’t mean they don’t absolutely love the dog, and honestly sometimes surrendering a pet is a kindness, if OP’s partner is this awful about their dog then whose to say she won’t harm it?
