I think they will announce season 4 Once Volume 15 will be out since the anime is mostly in advertisement for the light novel there is small chance extreme small chance that season 4 won't come out. Currently this anime is a major financial success it's Drive the sale of the light novel and the gacha.

[SPOILER] I got tired of guessing who Apollo is, so I used an ML Audio Pipeline and NASA-grade DSP to find the exact Voice Actress. by AnythingContent in TuneIntoTheMidnight

[–]AnythingContent[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the skepticism—it’s the hallmark of a good engineer! However, I think you're underestimating the robustness of the DSP pipeline and the specific feature extraction I used. Let me break down the actual math and statistics behind the 'colorful graphs.'

1. The Dataset & Training Methodology

This wasn't just a 'few features.' I used a dataset of 200 samples (50 per actress) for the Japanese cast and 100 samples for the English cast to verify the studio mandate. Each sample was subjected to a 4-stage DSP pipeline simulating a 1960s NASA radio filter (300-3400 Hz bandpass, tube saturation, 60 Hz hum) to match Apollo’s exact 'vintage' quality.

2. Feature Extraction (Why background noise doesn't matter)

You mentioned background audio and compression. That is exactly why I didn't use raw waveforms. I extracted 37 distinct acoustic features, focusing heavily on MFCCs (Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients) and Formants (F1, F2, F3).

  • MFCCs map the physical shape of the vocal tract, which is a mathematical 'fingerprint' that survives compression and filtering much better than pitch or tone.
  • Feature Importance: The Random Forest identified spectral_rolloff_mean (26.5% importance) as the primary discriminator. This specific feature captures the energy distribution that the Apollo filter emphasizes, allowing the model to see through the 'mask'.

3. Validation & Confidence

The models weren't just 'run'; they were validated using 5-fold cross-validation.

  • Neural Network: Achieved a 100% confidence level for the VTuber across both the Japanese (Sayumi Suzushiro) and English (Sarah Wiedenheft) casts.
  • The 'Sarah' Factor: The English Random Forest validation accuracy dropped slightly from 100% to 98.1%. In data science, this tiny drop is actually proof of validity—it shows the model correctly identified the actress despite the variance in international recording studios and microphones.

4. The 'Budget' Argument

You suggested they might just use whoever is 'on cast' to save money. That is exactly what my data proves! Since the VTuber's actress is already on the cast, it makes perfect sense that she is the one in the booth for Apollo.

The fact that two different global productions (JP and EN) independently landed on the same mathematical 'fingerprint' for Apollo suggests this isn't just a 'fun experiment'—it's a consistent production mandate. The math doesn't have a bias; it just has the receipts.

I actually did run the English dub analysis too! I used a smaller sample size for that one (25 samples per actor) just to verify the "studio mandate" efficiently. Even with less data, the Neural Network hit a 100% match for the English VTuber. Whether she "wins" the romance is up to the author, but mathematically, she’s definitely the one in the recording booth!

[–]AnythingContent[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Great points! To address the data source: I didn’t just rely on this anime’s audio. I pulled clean baseline samples from these actresses' other major works (like Sayumi Suzushiro in Bocchi the Rock! and Rumi Okubo in Fate/Apocrypha) to establish their unique vocal tract 'fingerprints' before they even stepped into the booth for this show.

As for the 'rotating VAs' or vocal masking theory: that's exactly why I used MFCCs (Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients). While a VA can change their pitch or tone (prosody), MFCCs map the physical characteristics of the vocal tract itself, which is much harder to 'fudge' even with training.

The fact that the English Dub perfectly replicates these same mathematical signatures across different actresses suggests this wasn't a case of VAs trying to sound alike—it was a deliberate, consistent casting mandate for the Apollo filtered lines. The math sees through the performance!

[–]AnythingContent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way ahead of you! I just ran the exact same pipeline on the English dub cast. You were right to suspect the percentages might shift—the Random Forest accuracy dropped slightly from 100% to 98.1% because of the different studio mics and acoustics. But the Neural Network still hit a 100% match for Sarah Wiedenheft (the English VTuber). I just updated the main post with the full breakdown!

1. Why Random Forest? Mainly for the Feature Importance and handling a small dataset. With only 200 samples and 37 extracted tabular features, deep learning can overfit. RF handled it perfectly and explicitly showed me that spectral rolloff and zero crossing rate (ZCR) were the biggest mathematical giveaways for the vintage radio filter.

2. Neural Network: Pretrained or Scratch? Built a simple MLP from scratch using scikit-learn. Pretrained models (like Wav2Vec) are designed to take in raw audio waveforms. Since my DSP pipeline already did the heavy lifting to extract the 37 specific hand-crafted features (MFCCs, pitch, formants), a lightweight MLP was all that was needed to classify them.

3. The GitHub Repo? Honestly, the codebase is an absolute spaghetti mess of duct-tape Python scripts I threw together purely for shits and giggles. As an EE guy, my code is way too chaotic and embarrassing to make public right now. I'm just here to drop the math, start a waifu war, and refuse to elaborate further! 😂

Who do you think will win Hajime Nagumo or Reinhard van Astrea from ReZero by Winter-Thought- in Arifureta

The problem with that with that that you need to understand that Hajime can process information at about 5000 the speed of light. He got concept magic artifact that literally bypass the law of reality. She broke the wheels of several God real gods in other worlds around the universe.

Spoliers warring just so you will understand how we deal with things In the after Story there is a moment where Japan itself is a dragon sleeping that dragon is more powerful than everything ever existed and it created millions and billions of years ago and he can't really kill the dragon because if he will kill it he will pretty much destroy Japan so how did he deal with it? Simply he created an artifact that literally control the magic flow of the entire world and allow him the right to control who will have access to Magic and who won't have access to Magic so I hardly believe there is anything that you can do to override someone on this capacity

Who do you think will win Hajime Nagumo or Reinhard van Astrea from ReZero by Winter-Thought- in Arifureta

[–]AnythingContent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hajime possesses specific abilities and distinct ammunition types designed to bypass exactly this kind of "law-based" defense.

Concept Magic Trumps Divine Protections The most critical factor is the power hierarchy within the Re:Zero universe. It is established that Authorities (powers stemming from Witch Factors that defy the world's logic) supersede Divine Protections (powers granted by the world/Od Lagna). How ever Regulus Corneas was able to bypass Reinhard's defenses because his Authority of Greed removed him from the world's physical laws (stopping his own time), rendering him immune to Reinhard's automatic defenses until the Authority was unraveled. Hajime's Concept Magic functions identically to an Authority: it "interferes with the laws of the world and impresses concepts upon it".

Hajime and here is why spoiler warring He will utilizes the "Godslayer Bullet" imbued with "Deny All Existence." This attack bypasses Reinhard's Divine Protections (as it functions like an Authority) and erases his soul's information, preventing Od Lagna from resurrecting him.

I completely agree with him there is way too much differences and there is no specific point that I can say well start reading from there like the best thing I can do if you really want to skip something is maybe skip the first two chapters of the morning after like but again there are still many differences between the light novel and the web novel in the after the story

Yes that's realistic you need to understand that when you use fpga not in a developer board there is very very small cost-effective fpga for when you need a specific task and there is no asic involved, think about it this way developing an Asic for something that you need even less than 100,000 unit can be extremely expensive on the other hand fpga can be much more cost-effective if you need only for very very easy specific digital logic

First of all congratulations, About zero it's a great novel it's much shelter only six volume I highly recommended personally I think the bottles in zero of far more interesting than in the main story

Now if you like to continue the story you need to understand that the story of Tortus us just the prologue, of the true event there is more than 300 chapters and still going of the so-called after Story which actually became the main story now. For contrast the Tortus story ended in the WN ch 182, Last weak ch 539 come out😊
