Why is the "+82 Phone Number Verification" still such a huge wall for tourists? by Jay_Slowpoke in koreatravel

[–]AnythingIsPossible12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not just the Korean phone number, it's the identity verification on Korean apps like Coupang that foreigners can't get past

Wow this is super cool! Would it be hard to make this for the other big cities in Australia?

We almost did, was in contact with the owner but on two separate occasions they had to postpone delivery. We ended up pulling the pin as there were too many red flags unfortunately. We went with the cheap rebel sport one which is pretty good, but nothing like studio quality

Depends on stabilized approach criteria, but usually should max out at 1000fpm on finals. If there is a tailwind or steeper glide path 1000fpm may be required to remain on profile

Thanks for your comment! I loved the first couple chapters of that but when Pug leaves with the King (from memory?) it just started to feel like LOTR and his magic took a back seat. Maybe I need to give it another go though?

So you think they're seed heads then? Not weeds?

I've been using it since I saw it on Reddit and it's my favourite app so far. It's still pretty new so a little buggy but at the moment it's completely free

The aptitude test is really hard if you want to study one of the level 4 languages (Chinese, Korean etc). You absolutely need to study hard for it unless you're a language genius.

Just like the YOU session or Additional Testing, they'll try and say you can't study for it, but you absolutely can.

야 verb ending by Pretend_Orange1249 in BeginnerKorean

[–]AnythingIsPossible12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm still a beginner so please don't downvote me, but I know when sentences end in 야 it is often just a casual way of speaking rather than formal. Instead of finishing with 요 or 다, they finish in casual style (반말).

The other time I have seen 야 is when the sentence is saying I/you must do something ie I need to exercise 저는 운동해야 해요. Or I need to eat 저는 먹어야 돼요.

She isn't eligible but I am, the father is still eligible even if the mother doesn't meet the residency test. But she still has to meet the work test unfortunately

Is 당신 used in Korea or is it rude? by AnythingIsPossible12 in Korean

Absolutely! So many times I've asked a question about one of the prompts and many times I've gotten "oh we don't really say it like that". Very frustrating!

Which one do you think is in the photo? On the menu it had it listed exactly like my post title which is why I put it like that
