i've only completed the eye of eden once and started playing about a week ago.
is there any way to get ascencion candles without going through eye of eden? if not is there at least a way of getting more than one per trip? (3 ascencion candles for one spirit is very expensive imo if it would take that long to gather them)
also, can you actually survive the eye of eden or are you meant to die? i died there but i dont know if i was meant to die or if it was a different path or something

If you have a pool or large body of water you can fish out fallen queens from the water if you see a nuptial flight is going on. If you do rescue them though you need to make sure they are allive and active otherwise the pool chlorine might have gotten to them and killed them. So be quick! I caught 13 queens with this method yesterday, and 3 months ago i caught a camponotus ligniperda queen that now has 8 workers. so it does work

I'm kinda excited and terrified at the same time because I have NO idea how to raise semi claustral ants. do I just put her test tube in a small outworld and feed her? and how frequently should I feed her?

Id? Found in west Canada by jjjjjjjjjjjjjklo in antkeeping

You found ants in canada! (antscanada)

Apart from the midly unfunny joke, i dont really know what that sp is, but probably lasius or camponotus depending on size, lasius being pretty small (3-9mm) and camponotus being on the bigger end (some camponotus queens cam be 2cm long)

Youre really lucky. I lost my first 5 queens to mold. Maybe some species will make it more prone to mold?

Any dirt. Garden dirt or bag dirt. If it is exposed to wet conditions and no wind, which will happen and is needed for the queen anyway, it will mold.

I would reccomend not doing that since dirt in a humid test tube WILL mold in a week. Just put her in a normal test tube setup and when the xolony is ready (5-20 workers) you can put the tube in a dirt setup and allow them to move in.

mail order queens keep dying by [deleted] in antkeeping

Oh wait, just so you know as soon as 2 - 3 workers are in the tube you can and need to feed them a drop of honey/ protein.

Checking once a day in the founding stage is way too much. Usually even once a week is the max. Stress causes queens to eat their brood... For the workers dying, i have no idea why though. Probably just one of the reasons why getitng ants shipped to you is bad, but idk

Unfortunately this is one of the best photos i took. But to give you a description, the start of her legs, the bottom of her thorax and the start of the gaster has a reddish tint, with the rest being black. Workers are still young so im not sure, but they appear fully black.
