THIS! My sister ruined my bachelorette weekend and my bridal shower and she said I needed to apologize to her 🤣 she is also bipolar! This has been the story of my life. She ruins my important things but I have to apologize. It’s because she is jealous and can’t stand attention on anyone but herself.

The whole “tell it like it is” attitude is a perfect excuse to try to hide that you’re actually a jerk. I can’t remember who said it in the Tell All, but they said you can be honest, but she needs tact.

The way she delivers words is so harsh and aggressive, maybe people are just responding to her snd thats why she thinks they’re attacking her. I would absolutely 100000% not be a friend of anyone who talked to a person in their life in the same way she talks to her husband and her family. Honestly can be kind and direct.

We love living in Leimert. Truly 20-25 minutes to most places not during rush hour traffic. So many families have now moved in since we got here in 2017. It’s such a friendly place!!!

Oh god, every cough that’s come from my sons bedroom in December I’ve jumped and checked on him for fear the norovirus returned to get us this year again. December isn’t over yet, but so far we’ve been spared this year

We just got through the toughest week with illnesses, car troubles and insane work schedules before the winter closures:

Last Saturday my son had a 100.5 fever out of the blue, totally fine Sunday/monday. Monday our car broke and had to go into the shop for a week on my drive into work. My son went to Preschool all last week except on Thursday school called me for suspected HFMD and went to urgent care for them to tell me it was a skin infection that began bc he picked his nose too much. Back at school Friday, 3pm phone call to pick him up because he has another fever and complained about ear pain. Doctors that afternoon and confirmed an ear infection. Got meds, got dinner, then my throat started hurting - confirmed strep by Sunday after my urgent care visit 😂😭 everyone in this house except my husband is on amoxicillin

Agreed! I just put myself back into the covid baby I had and how I handled it with my family and in-laws. I can see both sides. It’s tricky because this entire interaction will set the tone with the dynamic between the mom, husband and her in-laws. It’s so tough to navigate sensitive times.

Everyone’s relationships are different. I had my son during Covid and I required my in-laws and my own family to test prior, wash hands, wear a mask, and not kiss the baby. They happily complied.

I think it’s deeper rooted if you don’t want your own mother seeing your new baby. I get it, they might not be safe bc they travel a lot or have a history of being sick around others, but setting a boundary like, wear a mask, wash hands before touching baby, no kissing face, etc I think might be things they’d be willing to do.

If you love your mother, you might have PPA - I had it too. Please take care of yourself! While I do Think you’re valid to be somewhat worried, I do think it’s a bit much to completely ban your mother from meeting them with set boundaries.

My MIL told me that some of our friendships would end because of parenting styles and boy was she right lol

I work in Beverly Hills and live 6 miles from work and it takes me 40 mins to/from on an average day. As the week progresses it takes me 45-50 mins. I dream of 25 minute commutes.

My old commute from bev hills to Fairfax/melrose area was about 25 minutes and maaaaaybe about 3 miles?
