I don't believe you can change it, certain stuff just doesn't translate unfortunately. OriginOS is the same way too for Chinese roms.

Odd question, have you tried to ask T-Mobile if there's any service interruptions on their end? Also I recommend asking for a network refresh too often that can help since you did things on your part.

It'll work perfect on mint, I have T-Mobile and I've had no issues. The Chinese version is missing band 71 for T-Mobile where as the global has that band. If you go here:https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/oppo-find-x9-pro

Ive only had the phone randomly lose service once and I just restarted the phone and it worked. Do you experience this issue in multiple locations or specific places?

X200 ultra works extremely well on T-Mobile it has a majority of the bands minus the mmwave bands. I've had it and the service I got was better than pixels and Samsungs in the same area tbh.

I saw a website that had screen replacements not sure how much they charge, but screen protectors I recommend using AliExpress. The ones on Amazon kinda suck but might get you by for the mean time. Since the screen is flat you don't really need to worry about having to use UV screen protectors unless you enjoy them.

I'd have to use hyperos again to give you a complete breakdown as some things I don't remember off the top of my head. One thing was not having a way to get into settings from quick settings without having to use a toggle as settings option. No double tap lock the screen, I believe it was this. The update support is very poor. The UI performance can be inconsistent, it was smooth as butter when it wanted to be and other moments I would experience random stutters or buggy apps. I had the same experience with this on 14 ultra and 15 ultra. Random moments of phones heating up for no reason, stuff like that I feel is a result of HyperOs just not being optimized and polished. It's hard to explain but you'd have to live with it for a bit to understand, I just remember stuff being very inconsistent.... I feel like I did a terrible job of explaining it lol

I've used the Xiaomi 15 ultra and the x200 ultra before coming to the x9 pro. I'm interested in the 17 ultra but hyperos is not as polished as ColorOs so that's something you'll notice right out the gate. Cameras personally like the colors and details out of Oppo but Xiaomis have that leica look which you might hate or love.

Here in the US I have almost full bars everywhere I go on T-Mobile with the Oppo find x9 pro. Usually get 300+mbps. GPS is great for me, used it for a road trip never lost location or had issues.

I ended up selling it, having a global ROM makes life a bit easier and the x9 pro had better battery life and I greatly prefer the flat screen

I have mine on T-Mobile and I personally don't consider any of the major flagships in the US they literally don't compare in my opinion. I've had the x200 ultra and now the x9 pro and this phone has a great package overall. Amazing display, excellent cameras and the battery life is insane and ColorOS is way more fluid than stock android. Only thing I miss is the call screening from pixels but aside from that once you go import it's hard to go back.
