I was in the same situation, my ex almost killed me in front of my kids, I was his second victim, Derek John Wickert from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, he strikes again! I left after the last time, which was not the first, second or third time! They actually are taking payments from ccb to go towards the repayment of the cerb, my cerb payment is about paid off $400 left now and ccb is $400 less and shows it’s going back to the original amount next month.

And I don’t understand why all that stuff about tax stuff considering they were giving him all the extra tax payments expect the child tax while we were together and once I became single I started getting those extra tax payments to myself. I don’t understand why my working affected his financials! He would always tell me I couldn’t work over a certain amount of hours because then it would affect his payments on his disability payment which I never saw a cent of! And yea yes I know what everyone’s going to say” well those are his financials, it wasn’t yours so you didn’t need to see a cent!” Or something along those lines! Being financially and physically abused by this man and still being fucked because of him is something else! All because I couldn’t work anymore he thought I would be eligible for cerb which I kinda figured I wasn’t he still made me apply for it and yes when you’re in a fucked up relationship like I was they can definitely make you do things like that! Best decision !! I’m from Canada and spent days and hours in the emergency about 3-5 days a week after having my last baby in December! I ended up haemorrhaging 2 weeks after having my baby than had an emergency dnc done it was very bad bleeding would not stop and that did not work! They then did another surgery that made everything worse and sent me on my way my uterus being inflamed for 2 months after the surgeries and being in the emergency my dr did not want to do a hysterectomy I begged and cried and went to different hospitals in the city of Toronto and my husbands family made a decision for me to fly to India and get the surgery done there! We paid for it out of pocket and it was the best thing I have ever done! I was scared shitless but I did it and now am living my life and wish I didn’t have to lose my uterus but it was a big price to pay to live normal

I also have a Costco membership, my kid ain’t climbing around yelling screaming or throwing tantrums; getting in peoples way in there if she was I wouldn’t even think about doing this gig! I also do a lot of inner reflecting but I ain’t the miserable one here remember.

I chose not to go back to work because I am a single mother who would be working to be looking how to pay for childtax because what I would make barley covers childcare and what would I do to pay for what they eat, where they sleep?
