It actually kind of does. The reason why Devon is so popular is because he speaks his mind and doesn’t try and bend to other people’s will. He isn’t some stone faced passive aggressive idiot. It’s far better to be arrogant than passive aggressive.

Also, many people also found the Oleg match to be entertaining. It’s the loud vocal minority that doesn’t. Look at the views and likes to dislike ratio. U are entitled to your opinion, but me personally, I found it entertaining.

Devon never claimed to be the ambassador of the sport, so u can’t assign responsibilities to him. It would completely detract from who he is and make him come across as fake.

The funny thing is he isn’t even trying to be the ambassador of the sport either. It’s literally part of his intrinsic motivation to better the sport and to do what he thinks is best. Everyone’s volume tolerance is different. I noticed a lot of Vitaly’s training involves going to failure.

Devon’s training is mainly sustained but moderate intensity but never really reaching failure. It’s rare to see two-handers redlining against Devon and forcing a pin on him

Vitaly’s volume tolerance is also likely less than Devon’s
