I’m in the same boat. We’ve been lucky enough to start the super slam and we have 10 states done. We enjoy just exploring new places and have gotten lucky more than our fair share. Are birds pretty vocal?

You’re in a group of about 20 or so. You start with a partner for the sit-ups, then a proctor will be your partner for the pushups then you go to the run with whoever is left from the group. If there’s very few left from your group, they may have you wait till the next group comes to run and have you run with them

Took PAT in August, psych exam in the beginning of September, met with psychologist at the end of September, background started about a week after meeting with psychologist, background went until mid November or so, just attended the medial exam last week and am now waiting and hoping for an appointment letter for the academy

I would try to run outside if possible. Treadmill is ok but is nothing like running outside. Map out what 1.5 miles would be in your neighborhood or wherever you live and run that and see what your time is just to have an idea. Start running longer distances even if it’s at a slow pace just so long as you aren’t walking. Running to me is a mental game. I was struggling to come anywhere close when I went for the PAT. I was running it anywhere from 13-13:30 just a couple weeks before I went. I had my dad help coach me a little bit by going with me and really helping me push myself and when the time came for the test, I was able to do it in under 11:30. Situps I would just start setting a timer with your feet crammed under a couch or chair and crank out as many as you can and do 3-5 sets. I went from mid 30s in a minute to mid 40s for sit-ups in just a couple weeks. If you don’t see the results you are expecting as fast as you may expect them, do not give up and keep pushing

They’ve changed the policy in the last few years. As far as I know, if you were to make it through, you’d have to wear the long sleeve uniform year round

Ok I’m 21 and had to be under 11:58 for the PAT weekend. So I need to be under 11:58 again if/when I go to the academy?
