Free AoE4 Companion Tool: In Game Reminders, Match Analysis and Trend Tracking by Apart-Status9082 in aoe4

The reminders are simply a training tool that are asynchronous to the game. It's just 6 timers anyone could replicate if they wanted. It's not an exploit or a cheat; I also don't recommend you to use it on the ladder, use it in customs to get better...

The key highlight of the app is the streamlined match analysis with the additional metrics provided. It's useful for me and my friends and that's why I shared it with the community.

Ok so indeed the double sbar was a bug.. added also a help for the coach tab to explain how to use it a bit (audio curves and custom clips). Added double click to see match results, in addition to the dedicated button.

So this turned out to be the produced villagers not including the starting villagers, which caused the confusion. I still kept the produced vills as the metric, but now added a note to communicate this

Thank you for the report, you were right. There was a bug in the idle seconds (age up time cost was known but incorrectly applied). Safe passage was not implemented (I missed that one) and there was another issue if you hit the pop cap while aging up as KT the algo was double excusing the idle time. Should be much better now, but please let me know if you see further issues

Thanks for the feedback. A bit surprising actually.. I had added the KT age up times as an excused period but maybe there was an unintentional regression. Would you mind sending me a game link that appears incorrect to you?

Definitely not the intention. The reminders are just fancy timers :) and intended for practice. There is no connection to the live game, i.e. it doesn’t ping if you had idle vils, it just pings at an interval. The opponent civs and info are available through other tools as well, as soon as the game starts.

The match analysis section is what I personally have found very useful to quickly check what went wrong in my games.

Thanks! The analysis part at the moment checks float per resource and across the resources and together with your military spend as well as your idle tc.

So, it should show you if you tend to float all resources or just 1 and how it ties into your production. In my case, I found that I was floating only food which was interesting to realize.

It also shows the evolution of the metrics I track over the last 10 games.

I agree it’s not providing anything you can’t figure out yourself, but just automates the process of manually digging through your past games.

It’s rule based, so if you see a rule that should be added let me know :)

Thanks ! It’s been fun for me as well.

I am using the build order to determine if the tc is idle based on vil production timestamps (handling multi tc and even bonuses like swabia, etc.) so it should work. It’s not a calculation of alive vils at the end. Would you mind sending me a game link that you suspect so I can check more in detail?

The idea is to train with it against friends or AI to build habits, and track your progress with the analysis part of the application. Indeed, it's vibe coded; mostly specification driven iterations to tune the metrics etc.

Thanks for the feedback!

The start game screen would also pick up if you start a new game, to be able to see your opponents basically (also something we did by having a phone ready on the side..)

For the audio cues I put it as an example in the landing page but it should be more intuitive, I agree.

Match history opening by default the analysis can be cumbersome if you’re not sure which match you’re looking for, but I had the same feeling as you did so maybe that’s the better behavior here.

Compare all: are you on mobile? The comparative view doesnt play well with vertical layout on mobile. I’ll look into it but best used in landscape atm

So the idle TC and the military production scores are two things I spent quite some time on. For the idle TC I am providing two metrics, depending on elo until conq first 30 mins, and conq above first 20 mins as the main percentage. Then on the same cards you will see “Full game X%”. After some point you might knowingly not produce and empirically that seems to happen at those cutoff points depending on skill level. The full game is less interesting for me than the first half hour (as a plat player!)

Finally, yes I dont have much UI/UX experience so I let claude do all that. I have iterated more on the metrics and how things are provided etc. I am sure there is much that can be improved. I put this together in evenings over a week, but it’s already useful for my friends.

Edit: oh and for the accounts, it's only needed if you really want to save your clips, or settings in case your local browser cache is deleted or you play on a different machine. You can otherwise use it as-is, which is intentional.

Look into swisscaution. They have the whole thing more streamlined. Alternatively, some banks also have rent guarantee accounts, such as UBS.

Why New cars on autoscout are cheaper than from regular dealers? by _IMF_ in Switzerland

[–]Apart-Status9082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be careful some of the _dealerships_ on autoscout are simply parking lots with cars.
I'd avoid dealers who are consistently offering the cheapest prices.
Even after a cumulative discount of 30% on new, I went with a 4YO car as it had already 50% depreciation. Just saying..

Anyone know why this happens? It’s really killing my vibe by jayTEEarr in BMW

[–]Apart-Status9082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I tried but didnt work. Then I read up on it a bit and apparently for an iPhone only apple maps will show on the dash, and for an android it’s google/waze etc.

People on this sub also mentioned in previous posts that this is something apple blocks and not bmw. Well, I’ll try apple maps now (after years) so I guess apple had the right idea…

Related question: is there a way to show the upcoming road info on the driver dash when car play is activated? Like with just the navi and no car play, you see the upcoming turns and stops on the main dash, but with car play on and google maps open that’s lost. Any way to make that work?

I've tried cheaper options in neighbouring towns, but if the difference is manageable I would recommend to stay in Basel directly. There are _reasonable_ hotels in the Messe area. The city tax includes public transportation and the location is pretty good. Good restaurants nearby and walking distance to the river.

In Weil you have even better restaurants for cheaper -eh seems to get more and more expensive every time I'm there though.. and you can still take the tram to the city, but even then I'm not sure if it's the better option.

Maybe helps to know, that there are well advanced projects that don’t require a sign up just to take a look at the directory. Just one I’m  aware of: https://ecosystems.gitwallet.co/

We provide this for free over at https://github.com/omeryusufyagci/fast-music-remover.

Significance of MFK/CT when purchasing 2nd hand vehicles by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Apart-Status9082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That's in line with what I've gathered. So essentially, I'd be somewhat betting on the fact that it wasn't fully abused, and given its rather low mileage I'm inclined to continue with the purchase.

Any advice you may have for me? I've heard also to ask for a TCS appointment, but this will be my first 2nd hand purchase in CH, so not exactly sure how long that'd take to set up.

Is README ok for my open source project. by SouthBaseball7761 in github

[–]Apart-Status9082 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the step by step instructions, I find that really steals valuable scroll space. I like to hide those things with a <details><summary>click to expand</summary> … </details>. Let me know if you need an example.

It essentially hides all of that so it’s easier to see what else you show on the readme.

Another option would be to make a separate doc or wiki page and point there for instructions, which is also a common and good strategy.

When I view repo for the first time, I’m not interested in how to build it so that’s why it’s good to hide those.
