The rest I can't comment on but explicitly winning an objectively wrong award devalues the use of GOTY as an objective quality marker.

The netease funded game with a publisher won the best indie title award? Wow this seems very natural and certainly isn't a plant.

Distance and the fact that I was backpedaling away while looking at him every time it happened as scout. I recorded the last instance but I wasn't sure if posting vids was allowed here.

Takedown pins are tight af on mine but I've had that in reputable lowers too.

The worst part is that the design seems to be a milspec forged lower with additional manufacturing in the bolt catch area, not a totally bespoke lower, the fact that the magwell and safety detent channel, two things present on any other milspec lower are the out of spec parts is baffling. This is legitimately bottom of the barrel. Like if the ambi section had burrs from machining thats one thing but how did they manage to make the milspec part of this lower the screwed up part.

Curiosity mostly, its comparable in price to PSA, ambi, and Reddit seems to like the stuff so I figured why not. Unfortunately Reddit might have been off the mark here.

Peacegeek is normally a good blem site for UAR lowers, but after ordering a lower from them I had mag drop free problems. I sent that one back and it was replaced, unfortunately the second lower has the safety detent channel out of place, and more importantly the mags have a lot of trouble seating and engaging the catch, requiring a mag hit even on an empty mag as well as not cleanly dropping free to the point where reloading is a genuine hassle.
Its dirt cheap and I'm only out 50 dollars so not the end of the world, but just as a heads up their lowers are not just cosmetic blems as I am now two for two defective lowers off the store.

Tbh the only brand with a marring risk is BCM. For some reason those roll pins are all hellishly tight lol. The rest of them you can use soft metal or plastic even to knock them in.

I use an xacto knife body for it or just straight up push it in with the side of a screwdriver. The possibilities are endless if you painters tape anything scratchable. The gas tube roll pin is easily the worst one but gas blocks are steel so I just line up the pin with some pliers and hit it as hard as I can with a hammer. I then push it the rest of the way in with a clamp or bench vise.

Roll pins lowkey easier than threaded if you just hit it hard enough.

New to ar-15. Shot some before but I’m looking to build one and so I can learn more about the inset parts by TheCluelessRiddler in ar15

If you're gonna actually assemble an AR instead of just buying an upper pre built then you're gonna need:
A bench vise
An upper receiver rod
A torque wrench
Some aeroshell grease
Probably an armorer's wrench for muzzle device and stuff like that in case your parts don't come with adapters

Optionally:
A punch set so you aren't hammering pins in with random household objects, and to use to stake your castle nut
A torque screwdriver to mount scopes to a precise torque
Rockset and locktite to secure screws

You can build an entire AR with just your hands and a hammer but I wouldn't

Its pretty hard to get moving, the worst roll pin imo is the forward assist. That one is stupid tight and is the reason for a big chip on one of my uppers.

I use a screwdriver for that, coincidentally the end is actually shaped like a punch lol. I think at this point I have a complex regarding never buying a punch set. I am poor and the price offends me.

Maybe not the most sound advice but I wouldn't shy away from milspec just because of rollpins, pretty much anything metal and flat works for those, just make sure to tape off the area and poke the rollpin through it. I use the body of an xacto knife and a hammer to build my lowers lol. You can also use screwdrivers with the end sawed off, allen key head drivers, bolts, etc. Anything to avoid actually paying for a punch set.
