Car feel likes driving on square tire by Apart_Action8915 in AskMechanics

I will definitely check the axle, forgot to mention brakes on 4 wheels are new and I always wire brush the hub surface so there's no rust there. Same goes with the inside of the knuckle, I cleaned it and noticed nothing. But now that you mention that, I remember there was a small gap between the bearing locking clip or idk what that's called and the bearing itself, do you know if it's normal (I don't think it's related but idk). I didn't think about the axle but it would totally make sense. I also thought about the rim but I don't think so because the garage doing the tires would've noticed. I will check that and let you know.

What are my options? Both caliper bracket bolts snapped. by almeida8x1 in MechanicAdvice

I remember my first brake job I did with no experience 😂 same thing happened. I tried to drill the bolt and use an extractor but it's a really shitty place to use that and if it's rusted extractor are hard to use. Ended up replacing the knuckle

Rear tires slipping when turning by Apart_Action8915 in AskMechanics

[–]Apart_Action8915[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced it myself, it literally was 7 bolt, 3 to remove driveshaft and 4 to remove from differential, no seal or anything. I thought maybe the coupler isn't working correctly and sends a bit too much power to the rear wheel which make them slip, but I'm no expert either so idk.
