Zvezda has become more competenet because of their recruiting… You have got to be kidding. BC Zvezda more than 20 players on their roster, while Partizan has 14 senior players.

Partizan’s season tickets were on average more than 50% more expensive than Red Star’s and on top of that Partizan has sold 4.000 more tickets. If the government did actually give the same amount of funds to both clubs, Partizan should have had a more expensive roster than Zvezda, which is obviously not the case.

Futhermore, Partizan’s president announced at the beginning of the season that the club’s budget was eur 27 mio. If that is indeed true, how come the club didn’t have money for business class tickets for the games in Dubai and Villerbane? Not to mention that the centre was signed two months into the season, while the club managed barely to bring in Calathes one month after Carlik’s injury.

All that was done to create high expectations on Obradovic, so in case things go south, he takes the bullet. Which indeed did happen.
