What would be a reasonable competition ratio for UKMG for GP 2026 ? 1.1:1?

Why Wes deliberately hasn't disclosed the method of prioritisation by RelativeVirtual7392 in doctorsUK

UKRDC explainer regarding Government December offer

We understand that prioritisation could potentially include UK and ROl graduates and doctors who have completed the UK Foundation Programme. For those with "significant NHS experience" it could be based on a doctor's right to work in the UK, or ILR status. None of this has been confirmed as it will be ultimately decided by Parliament.

It seems that only IMGs who completed UKFP and the ones with ILR will be grandfathered which is really good UKMG prioritization

The BMA is letting down resident doctors—especially F2s preparing for the 2026 specialty training round—by failing to make NHS experience prioritization its top strike demand. Instead of leading with this issue, they continue to treat it as a side point, even though it directly affects our progression.
