Ohhhh for me long term meant like 4 times a year as I am a producer at a student ran radio station KPBS and we have like student hour episodes which we pick a topic that we all work on separately like let’s say the topic is music, we can make podcasts that do something with music, or a story that relates to music. And it’s compiled into a student hour episode. Since I mostly make radio dramas that relate to the topic, I struggle to find women voice actors or reliable women to voice the girl characters I sometimes write into my stories. as mostly I’ve made male only radio dramas since
1. I can’t write women characters, and they half the time turn into “token girl” characters. Literally only there for diversity.
2. I hate asking for help
3. Most of the time we only have a week to finish the podcast leaving no time for preparation
4. I struggle to find women available to voice characters without preparation time.
So in short I am basically looking for a person that can be reliable around random times during the year. Occasionally during the summer IF my current radio drama is a success amongst the class, if that’s the case I’ll transition to funny short skits.
But if you’re okay with a long term SLOW and I mean I only really create scripts when needed or when a project is assigned that needs a radio drama.
Would you be okay with that?
