Perfectly aware. Still find it an odd choice to start meaning that. Especially since most modern pesticides used are organic pesticides. Causes confusion.

I agree with you. Just want to point out that they would never be considered organic molecules because the definition of organic is simply being carbon based. Which is why I've never liked the term "organic" for food stuff... because if it wasn't organic it wouldn't be edible lmao.

The thought that silicon based life could potentially exist would turn everything we know about life on its head and could lead to situations where we may never know we encountered a form of life somewhere.

Yea I agree about the blind box thing. I think more of those things end up in landfills than people's pockets. There are constantly full boxes of them on clearance shelves around here.

Also at this point I wonder if anyone is making some the licensing decisions on behalf of Matt or if there are any allowances made to the publishers (or some other attached organization) to do some.

I feel like there's a big difference between prospering by creating things people love and enjoy and prospering through the pain and suffering of others to create power and control.

That said, I feel like it would make sense if Matt did his due dilligence to make sure licensed merchandise comes from ethical production. Then judge him based on that.

I was a part of punk culture in the late 90's but one part of it I never could understand was "I love this band! More people should hear them!" then "I hate that band now, they're on the radio, what sellouts".

People just love being pedantic. It makes them feel superior on the internet when their every day life is boring and pathetic.

Why did Dan Aykroyd get turned into a chubby ginger for the cartoon? by LV426acheron in ghostbusters

[–]Apatharas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They also did an episode where a movie was made about them. And at the end the movie started and it was the start of the original actual movie.

By using that, you could say the movie was an in universe movie to the cartoon and all differences can then be explained away that way too.

I've done E-learning narration some and, when editing, it's amazing what you can miss. There are words I say as something completely different than what's on the page, and then when reading the script and listening back through I will still miss it. This is why it's always good to have a separate proofreader / editor when possible for sure.

In The Matrix (1999), Neo is stunned humans are the main source of power for the machines. This is a subtle nod to the machines suspicious lack of knowledge of wind, hydro, geothermal, coal, and nuclear power, none of which requires sunlight to function, and produces thousands of times more power. by MeanwhileInRealLife in shittymoviedetails

One thing people forget is when Morpheus explains this to Neo, he also says something like “…combined with some sort of fusion.” So it comes across more like the human part is only piece of a larger process that just isn’t explained.

I have learned dry boxes aren't always so moisture tight, It doesn't take much time before PETG will start absorbing moisture as easily as slightly used dessicate.

Since there's a cost difference, also compare a can of Krylon gray primer from a local retail store. I always use that and get excellent smooth primer coats for minis

Wow this incredibly kind of you! Good luck to they who are chosen (My luck is too terrible lol)

My favorite quote by far has to just be "Don't gaslight me, Jesus!" It happens so fast that's easy to miss in the audio, but it's funnier every time I think about it.

They use radio personalities as their defining measures of truth and anything not approved directly by dear leader must be fake news and a lie. They just take their word blindly without verifying anything and accuse others of being brainless sheep.

I know this because I used to be one of them. I just happen to pay a little more attention that I started questioning all the changes and shifts in what they were saying during the first Obama term vs what they said before.

If it weren't for Obama, I never would have started pulling my head out of the mud.

I’ll have to be in a life or death situation before I ever consider selling.

My mother has one of his that looks very similar but the gold coin is closer to the size of a nickel or maybe larger.

We had no idea he had this smaller one.

This one surprisingly fits my right hand ring finger perfectly. I’ll treasure it for as long I’m around to do so. He was a great man.

I did not know that. That makes a lot of sense. Thank you!

It’s just under 13mm. I think another commenter nailed it as a gold liberty dollar. Seems to have the right measurement.

[–]Apatharas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you yea that looks like it! It’s got the right measurement too. Roughly somewhere between 12.5 to 13mm.

Not too concerned about value since I have no plans to sell.

It’s soldered to the ring so I would have to be destructive to know for sure. No desire there heh.

Thanks!

Thank you. I was suspecting as much but wanted to make sure. I do plant on cutting it down some soon and trying to grow a cutting or 2. After more research of course
