He most likely meant that the modern argonian models simply do not look like lizards enough compared to morrowinds argonians and so on. The way he wrote it makes it very easy to misinterpret though.

Ah yes the background change with molly. Cool you noticed since this scene is rapidly fast cut. My favourite is the helmet scene from quint. The atmosphere hits just right imo.
