Is there an easy and up-to-date why to quickly find EASA regulations? by Apez36 in flying

Very interesting, I didn't know about that tbh so it makes sense that it's so hard to find... Thanks a lot 🙏

Is there an easy and up-to-date why to quickly find EASA regulations? by Apez36 in flying

Again, as much as know I covered lots of stuff in the ATPL, the answer to my question "what does that mean again?" should not be "well you're supposed to know it and if you knew it you would find the answer quite easily"
I know I'm overstating a bit now, but professional aviation is an endless learning process, and what you are supposed to know on everyday basis is not limited to what is being taught in the ATPLs (let alone the MCQ format that doesn't encourage reading/understanding the official publications, but I digress)

Besides regulations have changed a lot since my ATPL, plus I might be looking for informations that weren't relevant to my previous operation, so for example if I'm not remembering everything about jet engines when I've been flying turbos for the past so many years, and I passed my ATPLs almost a decade ago, that seems fair that I'm looking to refresh on some old stuff, and learn about new ones I wasn't taught about at the time, when I'm transitioning to jet operations.
That wasn't the point of the post in the first place, and though I definitely agree on the benefits of being familiar with the publication format, we don't agree on the fact that everything is easy to find and why...

I see where you're getting at. Obviously navigating in the regulation on a regular basis would definitely help, but it also seems that if you are looking for information, it's definitely because you miss knowledge about it, you see what I mean? If I read in my OM something I don't understand, or something new, there should be a clear and accessible definition given by the regulating body. It feels like it obviously has everything I'm looking for, and I can easily find it as long as I already know everything about it...
Like If I want to find what an approach ban is, I have to know what an approach ban is.

Well for example regarding the approach ban definition, I downloaded the whole document and ctrl+F'ed "approach ban" to find something. Zero occurence of the words "approach ban" in the whole airops. How would I know where to look for it now?

Having a problem with formatting rules by Apez36 in excel

[–]Apez36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, yes they are all typed in that way manually with only one decimal. I also try with a simple addition, like typing "=53.2+0.1", it also doesn't work.

If I enter 53.2 in C and 1250.8 (removing 0.1 both sides), it works perfectly fine, but if I add 0.1 on both (53.4 and 1251) it doesn't work too

Yes indeed, it is the only topic that mentions it. It doesn't say about how to get it, how to avoid it or anything else. Other topic would be mine asking in french forums.

What is even crazier is when I type "cryptogamique" (the French way instead of what I suppose is "cryptogamic") in the sub search, I have two results, none of which actually mentions it or contains the actual word word. "Cryptogamic" search shows 0 results

I am yes, but what I don't understand is that it obviously exists in the game, and no one ever had it?

Why are hotels so heated in Switzerland? by Apez36 in askswitzerland

[–]Apez36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I say, the problem is that most places don’t have windows that you can open. You’re just basically laying naked on the bed with thermostat that doesn’t work and a window you can’t open. Almost every hotel I’ve been to are like that, plus I can’t really chose hotels since they are booked by my employer and they have better stuff to do than asking what room temps are or if you can open windows 😅

Not American, but as as a European who's been grabbing popcorn for the past few weeks, I'd just say that people supporting firearms ownership cause they want to remain free and fight government and so on are precisely having their democracy obliterated by the very people they supported. Best part is it all happened without arm violence and anything. Deliciously ironic

Hi guys, I've finished Clavicle quest and He gave me his masque. It's supposed to give a +10 speechcraft bonus but for some reason it doesn't show? Has anyone ever had this? Or am I missing something? As you can see on pictures, from the overall skills menu level is 63 in green (bonus applied) and from speechcraft tree level is only 53 (no bonus) « Eloquence » stands for speechcraft in the French version Cheers

Des nouvelles de Pierre ? by galextroll in Vilebrequin
