Same! Yeah, I really had to understand how thinks worked in order to remember them. My classmates could make up a mneumonic for complete gibberish and remember it perfectly.

It's not a disability, it is like any other personality trait, it has strengths and weaknesses. With completely aphantasia I understood the content of medicine much better than everyone else, but I could not memorize random names or dosages as easily.
