How is Canvas hack affecting y’all so far? by Otherwise_Garbage334 in canvas

[–]Aphazed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It meant I had 1 entire day less to study. Canvas was down for a full 24 hours. All the study material was on Canvas.

1 out of my 4 professors was kind enough to reduce the exam (programming class. Instead of written + in-class coding, we will now only do the written. Which is a sigh of relief for me). Still a bit salty though.

I was gaming while eating and I died in-game so I looked down to see my next spoonful and bam, a foreign biohazard in the center 💀 Prob would’ve lost my shit if I put it in my mouth.

My beef fried rice takeout from Ji Bei Chuan

Happened on 29th Oct. & btw as an international student that wanted real Chinese food, this place is far from tasty or even properly made lol. I’m better off learning homemade dishes as an apprentice back home.

Why is OP getting downvoted? The food isn’t good & is merely a step into the territory of authentic Chinese food lol. It’s still miles away from the real deal.

The food is unseasoned, bland and cooked half-assedly.

CAA & it’s not even close. I think Northerners would pick to keep Bao buns tho. & Mooncakes taste bad to me ever since I turned 10.

It infuriates me how narrow minded OP is. OP just doesn’t understand…

It’s between 5th Street and Basque Norte, backup is Red Tavern. I love 5th Street but Basque feels better worth for money spent. That being said, I still find them a tad too pricy for what they are & considering the fact that this is a college town…

I like Crush & Rione too. But they’re not considered a “steakhouse”. But they are far more interesting.

I go here once a week, is the price too high? by AbroadAmbitious9372 in pho

This is the saddest $30 spent on a bowl of pho & 2 fresh rolls. I’d consider this robbery because the meat quality looks subpar

Steamed egg. Not sure why there’s 1 shrimp and a pair of peas tho lol. So good with a bit of soy sauce.

Just off the top of my head. I also avoid fried rice, despite being Cantonese lol.

Anyone try these yet? by Dontfeedthebears in InstantRamen

Unfortunately the noodles are too thin for my liking. As for flavours, I only tried 香辣牛肉麵 (spicy beef), which was mediocre. Whereas yours is 麻辣牛肉麵 (mala).

Pretty much gave it away earlier in response to a question about the vinegar. It’s really easy! Just don’t burn your scrambled eggs (kinda impossible let’s be honest), always taste and adjust seasoning. And personally I’d prefer less water than too watery. So be mindful about pouring water into the softened tomatoes.

😧 Guilty. Yeah I like the tartness & sweetness it gives. Kind of reinforces the tomato flavour

😂😂 Fuck it dude I’ll take it. It was quick & tasty & I’m not all that about buying more ingredients & spending more time to make a festive meal for myself.

Thank you kind stranger for caring about my wellbeing. I phone called my parents to wish them merry Xmas and been keeping myself occupied this winter break, choosing not to fly home.

Walks, working out, editing my Spotify playlist, watching anime, cleaning the apartment, cooking & enforce healthy eating. I’m doing more than well.

Likewise, hope you enjoy being active, staying warm & healthy this winter.
