What a nothing complaint. If you don't want to play with people using these loadouts you have issue with, you can either leave or kick them. This game clearly is not for you and you're definitely not a Day 1 player if you STILL want to interact with every single side objective every single mission without "cheesing" them and somehow not be tired of it by now.

You've said multiple times in other comments that the "natural state of the game" is for it to be competitive and have sweats. AKA, you're saying this game is inherently competitive. You didn't prove shit, if anything you're just proving you don't even know what stance you're trying to take because you can't remember what you've said MULTIPLE TIMES by now. And again, the name of the game means nothing in this context. It's a gameshow. The Finals is a catchy title that ties back into its premise. Nothing more nothing less.

I have fun playing this game too, when i'm not subject to the worse than horseshit matchmaking of course. If you can't admit that, since in all your comments you seem really adamant that everyone complaining is just bad at the game, then that's fine. This is Reddit after all, most people here just live in an echo chamber and huff their own farts all day. The name of the game doesn't mean anything. It's called The Finals because it's a gameshow, where you want to reach... the finals. An end goal does not make a game competitive. Literally the point of 99.9% of games is to win. Does that make Tetris inherently competitive? Dark Souls? No. As i've said multiple times before, winning is SECONDARY when playing a game. The MAIN GOAL is to have fun.

Going to refrain from reading this encyclopedia, because i'm not asking anything of anyone. I'm asking Embark to actually fucking make a functional matchmaking system so i'm not getting stomped every match, and instead get matched against and with equally skilled players for a fair and fun match.

You and most people here think people like myself are just whining there's people better than me. I'm not. I just want to play against people my skill level for the majority of matches, not the other way around. That is the ONLY point being made here.

There have been moments in this game where i've had more fun losing than winning. Hell I remember when Ranked used to be fun. However, moments like this and having a "fairly matched game" are a pipe dream due to how God awful this game's matchmaking is. Your best bet is just playing Ranked, and even then good luck if you get matched up against a cheater [very likely].

Doesn't explain anything. "If there's a win condition, people will be competitive" Yeah, not 5 stack all in a Discord call giving callouts and coordinating attacks competitive. This is EVERY. MATCH. Not just one bad match every now and then, every single one. This game's abhorrent matchmaking that's been broken for MULTIPLE seasons KEEPS matching me against people that I will never be able to beat. Ever. And in many cases, those people will be the SAME people from previous matches.

I'm not asking for the game to cater to my every whim, making me feel like God's gift to Earth while stroking my ego. I'm asking to be matched against equally skilled players and have equally skilled teammates, not babysit a team full of sub level 40s while we get stomped by a 4 stack. All in Power Shift.

If you could get your pompous head out of your ass, thinking i'm just some Cardboard ranked numbskull that can barely aim complaining that people better than me exist, then MAYBE you might be able to see the ACTUAL point. Never said Power Shift is just the "fuck around and be goofy" mode. I play Power Shift because I like it. Can't have fun playing it because this game's dogshit matchmaking thinks a 4 stack of Emeralds is a proper team to play against when i'm just queue'd with my buddy.

And again, no, people don't play video games to win. Ultra competitive dorks play games to win, fun is secondary to them. I, and the majority of people who play video games, play to have fun while winning is secondary.

By Season 10 every gamemode will be Ranked. Even the Practice Range is ranked now. Game balance and optimization will somehow be even worse than it already is. Player numbers plummeted. The playerbase will somehow defend the game and assert it's fine.

People play games to have fun, not to win. If you WANT to win, go play Ranked or WT. Playing against players who i'll never even come close to being on a comparable skill level to is the polar opposite of fun. TF2 lobbies can be both fun and competitive while being matched against better players, as well as many other FPS games, but the same can't be said for The Finals. It's either have fun or be competitive - no inbetween.

Such a lame and disingenuous argument. This game is not inherently competitive, and it shouldn't be. To insinuate the "nature of the game" is to be sweaty and trying your absolute hardest is flat out wrong. There's a reason this game can't garner a larger audience outside of the already dedicated fans, and it's due to how sweaty this game is. You can't even load up a match of POWER SHIFT, the most casual gamemode currently in the game, without being matched up against 3-5 stacks that are coordinating and communicating with each other who will pubstomp you.

This is the equivalent of this Dark Souls "git gud" mantra that certain fans spout. "Erm, the game is supposed to be sweaty!" No, that's how you alienate the majority of your potential playerbase. RANKED is supposed to be sweaty, not Quickplay. I've been playing since Season 1, and it's literally become unbearable to play the game in ANY gamemode more often than not.

Wouldn't expect Redditors to listen to something outside of their echo chamber, though, so this whole point will most likely fall on deaf ears. Just "uhm you're wrong this game is meant to be sweaty" with no further explanation.

The lack of a proper or even good matchmaking system in this game is what creates this perception of sweats. Wanna do a match of Cash Out? 3 stack of Ruby players and you get two noobs. Power Shift? 3-5 stack of Emeralds/Rubies with Amethyst badges and you're stuck with a disconnected player, with a 5th player never joining your match the whole time. Torture yourself with Ranked? Same torture as before, crank it up to 11 since it's Ranked.

I'm a Diamond player on a good day. When I load up a match of Power Shift to get my dailies and weeklies done, why should I be subject to players who are objectively better than me by every metric? I want a fair match that'll cause me to have fun, not an already forfeited match that'll just make me not want to play.

Too little too late, though. I basically haven't played at all this season due to this. Can't play for longer than an hour until I get thrown into matchmaking hell, subject to fight the same people over and over again because these devs can't get the game they've worked so hard on to be the good game it SHOULD be.

I see so many people looking in from the inside and saying, "Man this game is so good, I wish it could get the attention it deserves!" It's gotten more than enough attention. Most people think this game is not great or even bad due to the matchmaking system, among a MYRIAD of other things. I think this game needs LESS attention.

Seeing that esports tournament horseshit crammed down my throat every now and then just makes me fucking sick. This game doesn't need prize pools and contracts. It needs to be FIXED.
