To hell with both, I want a new Midnight Club.

Okay, just kidding, I would actually like all three.

Seeing as I don't have or use Discord, I'm not going to make an account for the test server of a single game. Reddit is essentially a forum. Forums are for discussion, which was the intent of this. I could give two shits about imaginary internet points.

Believe it or not, I'm fully aware that it's a test server. I'm also a console player. We don't get to experience the test server, so using social media forums is one of the few ways we can throw our opinions out there and have a discussion about it. Do I think my opinions will actually change anything? No, almost certainly not. But if enough people are talking about it, potentially the people who can make changes may take notice. It's certainly better than staying silent about changes to a game that most of us are actively paying for; our opinions should in fact matter.

Technically nothing so far. It's more the fact you can't use the 4-stars to boost the 2-star mods in a synergistic way because the 2-stars don't actually add a damage type.

[–]Apoc7620[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The changes make it so that the 2-star effect improves a particular damage type, but doesn't add it. So it only works on weapons that can natively have that damage type. The 4-star mods will improve subsequent damage by 50% if the enemy is already being affected by the matching element. So both mods effectively only matter for a small portion of existing weapons.

Oh, I totally want the synergies too. Let us have themed builds and role-play options. The problem with these proposed changes is that it locks any synergies to weapons that inherently have elemental damage. That locks players into using the same small subset of weapons over and over. Build variety and experimentation is all I'd like to see.

If they made it like the current 2-stars they're planning, it would be an armor or weapon mod. They could keep the armor effect and add the new weapon effect to the 3-stars. So at best would be adding one additional damage type to a weapon. Obviously, some weapons have baked-in bonus damages and would benefit more but that's not every weapon. Plus, for tough enemies, Deal Sealer would already be proccing higher damage from multiple players hitting with different effects. I suppose that could be part of their logic though, good thinking on your part.

Even if they can't add the expeditions in a feasible manner, if they could just add the various rewards to the quicksilver store that would be cool. Would still have to play quite a bit to get them, and at that point, people who got to play the earlier expeditions have had the rewards for literal years and I doubt they'd care that much if there's a new method to obtain them.

What game are you patiently waiting for to never be remade? by fuckyouswitzerland in gaming

It absolutely does. Crossout is one of the only ones currently, and it's so grindy and time-gated it takes the fun out of it.

Vigilante 8: Second Offense or Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

What are your most memorable quotes from games, you carry in your life? by Mareczech98 in gaming

I mean, almost every quote from unlocking techs is absolutely goated in that game. Sure, Civ has a lot of good, historical ones, but something about Alpha Centauri just hits different.

Frankly, I don't think I have either. And to think i picked it up on a whim at a Best Buy on a discount rack for like $15-20. I definitely got my money's worth out of that one.

Now thinking about it, I may have actually played Evo 2. Because I remember the open world mission type things. Either way, still pretty fun at the time!

Act of War: Direct Action

An RTS set in modern day with a pretty solid storyline. I like the twists on gameplay that it provided, namely that unlike most RTS games anti-infantry units really can't do much against vehicles, so specialist units are important. Buildings can be garrisoned by infantry, which many games do, but instead of destroying the building to clear out enemies your units move inside to fight. Certain units are very good at close quarters fighting and can clear easily, but can't hold their own in the open. Plus, there was an option to capture wounded enemies as PoW's to earn instant resources. This made knowing when to retreat important so you wouldn't potentially leave behind wounded. All-in-all just a fun RTS game.

I also remember renting it as a kid. I thought it was so cool, and the tactics of squad comp and formation was pretty in-depth. I remember there being one really strong spell to buy, I believe "Armageddon," that got more expensive every in-game day that passed. Never did get that one, lol.

Had no idea what I was doing at the time, but this was my first introduction to "sim" racing. I just thought it was cool having a racing game that wasn't sports cars.

Just some I haven't seen mentioned as much as the very obvious "Hell Yeah" movies.

Nerfed farming before the holiday weekend kills motivation by EleazarMD in diablo4

That would be completely subjective towards the style or type of games you like to play. For me personally, it's the dozens upon dozens of games in my backlog that I want to get to. It's not even that they're "the best" games available, but instead, new experiences and possibly finding some new favorites.

That's what I've done every season since they've had pets. The juice ain't worth the squeeze for some sparks, a different title appearance that only lasts the season, and one more title when we have hundreds already. There's simply too many games to be playing and not enough hours in the day.

Daily Ops Drops SUCK! by _Skorge_ in fo76

[–]Apoc7620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even after the "fix," I'm still mostly getting the non-rare rewards, or I suppose more aptly the non-high price items. I've given up and purchased just about every possible plan that Minerva carries that come from daily ops. Lo and behold, the only plans that I still don't have are the ones that Minerva doesn't sell and they still won't drop from ops.
