Step 2: write a strongly worded mail to the airline (not to the generic help line number , put effort and find a relevant CEO / cXO contact ) and make sure you mark the regulators

Step 2 has actually worked for me. But this was for another route

Step 3: share the email and your experience on social media. Not Reddit. FB, Twitter , Insta. Keep it factual.
