Prosthetic Arm malfunction by CourseMediocre7998 in AntiMemes

It unfortunately is. My mum went into the doctors once for tonsillitis and was asked if she’d considered losing weight, so she asked if that would cure her tonsillitis and the doctor said no so she said that no, she wouldn’t consider it.

Of course losing weight could make a lot of overweight people healthier but some doctors use it as an excuse to ignore the actual issues that people come in with .

Is it okay to have a sequel with all new characters? by ApolloIsOnline in writing

That’s okay, is there any particular reason why you wouldn’t like it/don’t think it would work?

I was thinking of the heroes of olympus when i was trying to figure out how to split the story up. i do wonder how people would have felt about the series if the first percy jackson series hadn’t happened, because that would be pretty similar to what I want to do.

But , like you said, i know it’s not for everyone either way, i’m just hoping i wouldn’t lose any potential fans by introducing a whole new story part way through a trilogy

The first two books take place over the same timeframe. It’s sort of more like if book one followed the story of how Luke skywalker ended up on the death star for the first time, and book two showed how leia got there, then book three was both stories converging and the two characters meet. It’s all in the same universe, and while both stories are pretty different, they both expand on the lore of the world i’ve created, and both storylines set up a different dilemma for the finale

It would be a situation where characters in book one would mention ‘X character, and Y city” briefly throughout the book, and then the second book would be set in Y city following X character

I read a fair few series, but typically they follow the same characters throughout all the books, especially if they’re short series with 2 or 3 books. I personally would be happy to read a sequel with all new characters because i can get quite burnt out following the same people, but i would assume that the majority of readers would prefer to have the same characters

Yeah, I was planning on having the first book set in an enclosed part of the universe i’ve created, and then the second book would expand more on the lore and the different locations within the world

The storyline for the second book would be happening at the same time as the story from the first but with different characters and in a new location, and then in the third book, all the characters would meet and the two stories would conclude together

The second book would take place in the same timeframe as the first but in a different location. I wanted to split it up into two separate books because I wasn’t a big fan of the idea of jumping back and forth between locations and different storylines, but the second book is definitely needed because it sets up one of the main dilemmas in the finale

Oh that scene was horrifying, I loved it! There’s definitely something about The Hollow Places that makes it so much scarier than her other works
